High School Football: Derrick Green Playing Live Now
Don't think I've seen this posted, but if so mods please take care of it.
ESPN 3 has a variety of excellent high school games streaming today (as they did last night). Currently, Derrick Green's team (Hermitage VA) is playing PSU's Chrisitan Hackenberg (Fork Union, VA). Last night included Joliet Catholic and Good Counsel.
Games are going on through the evening. I believe some are on ESPN U and ESPN 2 as well. Good way to get a football fix and follow some potential and former Michigan recruits here before the season starts.

Me too. But I've heard those close to him will be shocked if he doesn't wind up at Auburn.

What I dont understand with Auburn is dont these kids realize Gus Malzahn is no longer there? I mean who doesn't remember Chizik without Malzahn on his staff it was ugly.
Even with the talent I think Auburn is in for a downturn without Malzahn there to rack up the points and make games high scoring affairs.

What do you expect when ESPN has him as the #1 QB in the nation.
August 25th, 2012 at 4:18 PM ^
He's the top QB. What do you expect them to do? Downplay his talents? Plus its high school football on ESPN. People need all the hooks they can get to tune in.

He's the "top QB" according to ESPN. Which means absolutely nothing. Them saying he's the #1 QB 500 times won't make it true.
I just re-read this and I sound like a dick, my apologies.

Damn only 17 pts given up in 13 games last year? Wow, that is scary even for HS standards.

Hey announcers. Derrick Green does not run a 4.3.

I usually don't like to refer to recruits as a "stud", but that is what Green is....He might be only 17 or 18, but he's a MAN.

Woah a 6 yard punt! Hackenberg is not impressing at all.

Hackenberg does not look like the #1 QB in the country...

Remember this Hermitage team gave up 17 pts in 13 games last season. Not to mention it's a 4 man rush that is killing him and his Oline is getting whooped badly.
You can see the talent level in Hack, his throws look effortless and are all very fluid.

Thunder, Thunder-er, and Thunder-er-er. Can't forget Shallman.

Derrick Green said he would wait and decide in October just now after Hermitage win over Fork Union.

Maybe he plans to announce on Oct. 20th when he visits for the MSU game. How does that sound.
