Hey, it could be worse - we could be Florida State fans

FSU is now 2-4 and 0-3 in the ACC after losing in a shootout to Georgia Tech at Doak Campbell Stadium.

Or we could be NC State fans after our team got throttled by Duke (DUKE!!) at home.

Or we could be Idaho fans after our team just beat SJSU to get to 5-1 (and only 1 win away from bowl eligibility) after only winning 3 games in the previous 2 seasons. Oh wait, bad example.

It's pretty crazy. I was just thinking that - shit - we could be 6-0 right now and in the top ten. But then I thought, we could just as easily be 2-4. Definitely could have lost to ND and Indiana. So, yeah, it could be much, much worse.

PLUS, now I think this team has proven that it can hang with anyone. I'd love to see some 4th quarter heroics vs. OSU.

I would hate to be Wiscy fans right now, since at least UM can point to Iowa actually doing something on offense. Pryor was his typical erratic self against anyone not playing in the MAC or Indiana, and the running game was limited. If I'm an OSU fan, I'm really worried about this team when it does not score 21 non-offense points.

This thread was a lighthearted attempt at being tongue-in-cheek. It wasn't serious and neither am I.

Except for the part about Idaho, good for those fans. They've been a pathetic doormat for so long, I hope that the Vandals can snatch a few more victories and secure a bowl bid.

I was getting so annoyed during the Michigan game last night when they kept showing higlights of the FSU/GT game. That game was 14-14 and they only showed the two FSU touchdowns. Then it was 21-21 (or something) and they showed the next FSU touchdown. Then it was 35-28 when FSU was leading, and they showed another FSU touchdown.

There wasn't a single Georgia Tech highlight at all, yet GT was neck-and-neck with FSU the entire time, higher ranked, and ended up winning the game.

Yeah, GT is a very good team outside of getting waxed by Miami, which doesn't seem to be all that bad of a loss.

It was hard not to laugh back when Tommy and Terry were coaching and played Bobby (mostly Terry obviously) because they always called him "Daddy." Here's a 50something year old man calling his father "daddy" on national TV.

Georgia Tech should have gotten all the highlights. GT dominated the game in everything but the scoreboard, running up 400 rushing yards.

Florida State's defense is in really bad shape. That was one of the most feared units in the country in the previous decade, and then around 2000-2001 when the ACC turned into a parity conference FSU just flopped over.

The program is also a circus right now, with higher-ups in the university saying Bobbah should step down.

Another thing I didn't know...OC and coach-in-waiting Jimbo Fisher goes waaay back with the Bowdens, playing for Terry when the Midget was starting as a head coach. I find this funny because previous OC Jeff Bowden, Bobby's son, was a clear nepotism hire and was incompetent, and now there's a coaching controversy (a la a quarterback controversy) at FSU between Bobby and another quasi-nepotistic hire he calls "like a son."
