Hello: Vincent Gray

So if you are this big Michigan fan, then why do you $hit on a local kid picking Michigan in his commitment thread? Can you see how that makes you look like a troll or d-bag? Did you ever think that Vincent and his family are really excited today and probably reading this?
There are plenty of general recruitment threads where you people like you can $hit on the 2018 class all you want. With Michigan fans like you, I would rather deal with an OSU troll.

But, I don't think the stars argument holds up in this case. This kid is the kind of 3 star to target. Has the frame to play the position intended and is picking up big offers late in the process. That lends me to believe this is more of a late developing kid than a desperation flyer.
Also, the evidence points towards 2018 being an outlier, not the new norm. With several top 100 kids already commited in 2019.
Lastly, I could be wrong, but I think it is underestimated on this board among star gazers how much harder the acedemic standards at UM make it to land top 5 classes. To start each cycle there are probably 25% of kids that they simply can't have on their board that other schools can.

Every year every team in America offers kids they aren't sure of and that list consists of every kid on their commitment list. Of course some are safer bets than others but at elite schools, these kids many look at as projects definitely possess qualities that far outweigh their supposed deficiencies. If not, they would not be offered and we don't have to be specialists to realize this.
Anyone that has read anything by Bo is aware of how many people ended up being All Conference some AA and some even All Pro. And just how many of those were walk on or considered "fringe players" when offered is really quite astounding. Unless you're a Bama, a USC, OSU you will have many contributors who were not those players those schools were lining up to sign. Welcome young man and enjoy your years in AA.

Those are two guys who clearly qualify under NCAA standards but couldn't get into Michigan.
Don't talk out of your @ss next time.

I thought the Sith comment made that obvious - I was trying to lighten the mood.
Anyway, we are not even that far on our views. I am just getting really tired of all these supposed Michigan fans being so damn negative about everything Michigan just becuase we lost 5 games last year. So I guess i took it out on this post where I got triggered becuase people are $hitting on this kid on the best day of his life because he wasn't ranked in the top 300.
If people are so discouraged about Michigan that they rage against every aspect of the program - then go find a new hobby or a different school to support. Life is too short to be so f&cking negative about something that is supposed to be fun.

My main concern again is roster balance, I'd much rather take a flier on a lowly rated DT/OT where we're much thinner. Also, who covers opponet's small/quick slot WRs? I can only think of Thomas

i dont get the adding of another DB in this class when we lost nobody from last year who were contributors in the defensive backfield and loaded up the year before. it seems like something where the staff is going to take a bunch of guys in every class and hope that someone can play at least one of the 4/5 posititons

1 - Watson may not return
2 - Hill or Long could go pro next season
3 - we need safeties that can cover better

possibilities is literally what im accounting for with the take a bunch of guys and hope some of the large group fill all the positions at some point or another. you cant have enough depth but you also cant sacrifice the depth at one position to have an over abundance at another
