Hello Posts for the Eleven Draft Picks (subtitle: Let's Relive the Greatness of February 18, 2012)
Here are links to the hello posts for all eleven draft picks. Since it exists, I threw in Gareon Conley in for good measure. Jeremy Clark was the earliest on June 24, 2011, and Jabrill Peppers was the most recent on May 26, 2013. All Ryan Glasgow has is a board thread.
I mention February 18, 2012 because that day received its own muppets post. Michigan picked up six 4-stars commitments, including Butt, Lewis, and Charlton. The others were Wyatt Shallman, Kyle Bosch, and Chris Fox. The day ended with a basketball victory over then formidable OSU.
In draft order:
Jeremy Clark (there are 205 comments, mostly on whether or not Tim Sullivan was accurate or harsh with the post)

Thanks for the work. But why on earth do we feel the need to associate ourselves with an OSU player? Seems very little-brotherish.

I appreciate it... I remember being very excited about Conley for the time he was committed to UM, especially as an alternative to the Cass Tech Mighty Mites that have treated us so well (no sarcasm)

Well, see, as noted in the OP, Conley was committed to UM for a while there. So there's an association.

A grayshirt that "might contribute on special teams."
Ryan Glasgow had offers from Wyoming, North Dakota, North Dakota State, and I think SDSU.
I guess Michigan was a good decision for those guys.
IIRC Stribling was totally off the radar (camp commit maybe?) when he committed and only showed up later on the national radars similar to St Juste
Edit: Yes, Channing was way off the radar too. Both he and Clark far exceeded their recruiting rankings when they committed.

I expect Wormley, Charlton, Peppers, Lewis to do well... really curious to see how the less heralded defenders (Delano Hill, Gedeon, etc) do in the NFL.
I think Darboh is going to do really well in Seattle too. They don't really have a big, physical possession receiver who runs great routes. I think he could quickly become a favorite target of Russell Wilson. And he's only going to get better going against that secondary in practice every day.

Great post. Hard to escape the fact that Hoke and company did a GREAT job scouting and recruiting defense. The predictions on a lot of these guys, like Wormley, Gedeon, or Darboh for example, wound up being spot on.
And Lewis committed when his only offers were Michigan... and Toledo. That's some good scouting.
I would like to think that Mattison is the guy who did the best job at this, since he's still on the staff. But what a great group of players.

Shame they all went 0-4 to OSU.
Just like the last group of great Michigan draftees in 2006.
Time to change that narrative.

How did I forget about Jabrill's rap aspirations?

I went back and re-read the Jeremy Clark one for the first time since it was first posted and it was as I remember - the first thing that happened was that a fair number of people immediately turned on Tim and questioned the tone of the post, even a "douchebag" or two thrown in for good measure.
I like this bright and sunny and happy post.
Thank you.
