I have never heard of him but he seems to be a great deal like Jason Hewlett who will also hopefully be committing soon. If these are what our LBs are going to start looking like I am all for it!

Pumped for Breeon and go blue!

Side note… do we have any reason to believe 2024 will be a major turn around from an objectively underwhelming 2023 class? At some point you’d expect the NFL stuff to have diminishing impacts and the new recruiting coordinator to find his groove… but we not exactly capitalizing on a historically GREAT run by our team when it comes to recruiting impact.

Unless we have another offseason where everything that could go wrong does—Harbaugh for a time seems like he’s 100% gone to the NFL, lose both the OC and the DC, lose both our recruiting coordinators, not having an early 5 star commit like JJ or Will Johnson to lead and unite a class—the recruiting experts at the paid sites believe 2024 will be back to our normal Harbaugh class of right inside or outside the top 10. Especially if can land Jadyn Davis who sounds like he wants to commit at the conclusion of his football season.

I do think 2024 will be a good class. We're in a great spot with Jadyn Davis, 4* LB Mason Curtis committed, commit Manuel Beigel reportedly had conditional Bama offer, in a great spot with 4* OL Luke Hamilton, in a good spot with Davis' teammates Channing Goodwin and Jordan Shipp, and we're hitting Ohio pretty hard in 2024

Michigan is #3 in America and Harbaugh has a proven record of success and sending guys to the NFL, but we're still taking low ranked "under-the-radar" guys.  It just feels like Michigan is in a position to aim higher.  Yes, I'm a dick about this.

Awesome news. We seem to develop 3 star guys into top tier players better than developing the high 4 star 5 star guys. Green bros, Barrett, Schoon, Haskins, Bell, DJ Turner, Sainristil, Paye, Khaleke, Uche. All 3 stars, all big time contributors. I trust the staff if they see something that they can develop.

Great, another under the radar recruit. Why can’t we capitalize on our incredible 2 year run? Recruit rankings do matter. I’m all for a few flier recruits each cycle but this class is particularly underwhelming when taking their rankings into account. I’m assuming with the current climate it’s come more down to our NIL ineptitude than anything else. I mean Harbaugh has said as much that Michigan won’t go all in with NIL which has caused him significant frustration with the higher ups.

I remember he mentioned this several months ago from an article I read. And the visceral reaction I had to the regents constantly taking the high road to the detriment of the football team. The game has changed so much in the last year with NIL, we better get our shit together or we’ll be left in the dust sooner than anyone on here realize. Though it seems many on here seem completely fine to go back to a top 15-20 team.

Are you sure you aren't thinking of Juwan Howard? Harbaugh has always seemed to be right in line with Warde downplaying the significance of NIL like by bringing up Michigan's transformational over transactional experience as a major selling point to recruits. If you happen to come across that article again, I'd love to see it. Would definitely please me if Harbaugh changed his tune on NIL at some point.

This is such a dumb reply. A&M has been top 10 last few years. The #1 class they just signed are all freshmen. Would not be surprised to see them in the championship convo in another 1-2 years. This isn’t some esoteric controversial topic that requires a counter argument. It’s been objectively hashed out in every possible way. Generally speaking, RANKINGS MATTER.

UM staff seems to be prioritizing matchup/situation advantages rather than total package or stars at many positions. Ishmail and Hewlet are rangy, athletic guys who can develop into pass rush specialists or coverage anomalies as LBs. Minter can rotate them into the game as necessary and dominate in packages.

ishmail has some common elements with Simmons from Clemson - who was a rangy 3* that returned into a defensive star.
