Harbaugh Presser: Reactions?

Submitted by boliver46 on

In the interest of sportsmanship we will be shipping our depth chart to Utah...and they will be sending us theirs...

Is this normal?

Any other hot takes on the Jim Harbaugh presser from today?

Oh...and my main takeaway?

Too funny!  I'd never watched one of his pressers til today. Unorthodox delivery and an enthusiasm unknown to mankind!  :)

I just wondered whether college teams actually do this...I know we did in high school - but even then coaches mucked around with reality by the time the game rolled around!

And from what I've seen on MGoBlog - depth charts will cause folks to:

But, the thing I liked the most was reference to "Big Persons" rather than the Brandon "Big Boy" deal, always stated with a smug tone by someone who probably never had to fight his way out of anything in his life.

They talk about Harbaugh like he's a god... The players have always shown respect for coaches, but the references by these guys are above and beyond that.

guessing somehow info will get "leaked" but I also am guessing Harbaugh and company will make sure it's a FLEXIBLE depth chart.  He even indicated as such stating that some positions will be in flux up to game time.

receiving corps with the word on Harris. Also, I don't expect Baxter's schemes to deliver us any TDs on blocked FG returns. (Where Mone broke his bone in practice, if you weren't listening.)

I honestly did not expect to be able to take away as much as I did, and while much of it is still high level and leaves one to do a lot of inferring, there was some actual information in this one (more than I was expecting).

Of course, all of it makes me that much more eager to see how this plays out on Thursday as we start this first season under Harbaugh.
