Harbaugh Not-So-Subtly Sub-Tweets the SEC

I love our coach.

Question of the day: Does anyone find whining to be attractive? Just curious.

I just start thinking he can't be any better, and I can't like him any more than I do.  Then he goes ahead and does something like this, and I'm wrong...again.  I can't think of another coach, ever, that I have enjoyed more.  It's not even that he's our coach, though that helps.  He's just fun to observe.

I live in Oklahoma and while at lunch today both of the local sports talk stations were talking about this. Harbaugh has kept Michigan in the national news so much. Even in Oklahoma I hear about him all the time. I love our coach.

I think its funny the SEC is so up in arms about this.  Practicing over spring break was common practice when I played lacrosse in college.  In fact, one year we flew to Florida played a game and had a week of practice down there.  It was a lot of fun, and  it was great to get away from campus for a few days.

teams from up North have been going to the South for decades to play against schools during their Easter or spring break weeks. Most of these schools in Michigan and elsewhere don't even start their seasons until April wel after schools down here have begun playing, in some cases for five to six weeks already.

I was at a college campus where the baseball team played it's first game two weeks ago.

College scrimmages end this week and the season starts next week. High school baseball and softball starts in NC on Feb. 29 and runs through May. Heck that's barely a month into the season up north. Michigan softball, as is usually the case, will play 29 straight road games before starting their conference season at Alumni Field.

Do you see Hurch bitching about that scheduling disadvantage? No, because she just takes here team to the Sunbelt to season her squad and prepare for the conference by playing the best in the Southland. You either make your own way, or you surrender to the weather and competitive disadvantage. Competitors choose to compete as creatively as they can under the rules.
