Harbaugh Monday Noon Press Conference
Did anyone watch his presser today at noon? Something is off with him in the fact that he is showing 0 emotion and seems to be going through the motions. I want the old Jim back with fire coming from his nostrils. How is this guy going to motivate a football team to a big win on Saturday? Sad.
November 11th, 2019 at 12:23 PM ^
I'm confused. Should he be yelling in a Monday presser after a bye week?
November 11th, 2019 at 3:09 PM ^
Yes, preferably, "Next Dumbass Question!"
November 11th, 2019 at 12:23 PM ^
That's the way all his press conferences are
November 11th, 2019 at 12:23 PM ^
If this is not satire, it is the concern-trolliest concern troll post of all time. Well done.
November 11th, 2019 at 12:31 PM ^
It's not even worth the effort of reaching your thumb up to the downvote button.
November 11th, 2019 at 12:24 PM ^
Maybe he realizes that screaming and carrying on is not the most professional way to handle himself. I prefer to look at it as he has matured and more focused.
November 11th, 2019 at 1:20 PM ^
I don't care if he screams or uses sign language for the entire presser. Just beat the ever living piss out of Mich St. this weekend.
November 11th, 2019 at 12:27 PM ^
First thing he said in the post game interview after the game last week was "Beat State". I think he knows what's up.
November 11th, 2019 at 12:32 PM ^
Lovie Smith and Illinois clearly heard what he said and were fired up.
November 11th, 2019 at 2:37 PM ^
Actually, that's a good point. Lovie is always very measured in interviews and is stoic on the sidelines. Can't say that the Illini don't play with a lot of emotion, though. The effect of a coach's raging is overrated.
November 11th, 2019 at 12:28 PM ^
Because Lloyd was so emotive during his Monday pressers, too? Yikes.
November 11th, 2019 at 12:28 PM ^
I'm confused by the decision to let Ross play one more game and then redshirt him. Is he really going to stay 2 more years if hes good enough to go to the NFL after next year?
November 11th, 2019 at 1:09 PM ^
Glasgow and McGrone have done well in his absence. If he's not needed against Indiana or MSU, there's no harm in just playing him against OSU to maintain the redshirt. Even if there's only a 10% chance he plays a 5th year, there's no harm in holding him out of the games outside of OSU considering the other LBs have done well.
If McGrone or Glasgow get hurt, I'm sure they'll break glass in case of emergency and put Ross out there immediately and burn the RS instead of sending out Anthony or someone else.
Of course, that's assuming McGrone and Glasgow are both good down the stretch and don't significantly hamper the defense where Ross wouldn't.
November 11th, 2019 at 2:52 PM ^
I think the most likely case is that Ross is not a starter right now.
With 4 competitive games left, I think you would have to play him if he was the best man for the position. But McGrone and Glasgow rarely coming off the field and fighting to get Uche as man snaps as possible, I'm not sure that he's an upgrade coming off an injury this late in the season.
November 11th, 2019 at 3:06 PM ^
At almost no expense, you give an additional option for his future.
Easy call IMO.
November 11th, 2019 at 3:33 PM ^
2 weeks ago I said we would try and redshirt Ross. Someone disagreed with me and said no way it would happen. I don’t remember who you were but you can admit you were wrong now.
November 11th, 2019 at 12:32 PM ^
Blue Warrior is a troll. Read his posting history.
November 11th, 2019 at 1:25 PM ^
Would have never guessed that.
November 11th, 2019 at 12:34 PM ^
So Michigan lost to the Press?
November 11th, 2019 at 12:35 PM ^
Let’s consider the alternative. Harbaugh arrives at the Monday presser coming off a bye week. He’s got a wild look in his eye. He answers every question with “Fuck State” and a sprinkler system of spittle. He throws the podium at a reporter who mentions his record vs Dantonio. He storms off and kicks the SID in the dick as he heads back to the locker room. Does this give you a better feeling?
November 11th, 2019 at 12:37 PM ^
Does he end with "Live from New York, it's Saturday niiiiiiight!"?
November 11th, 2019 at 12:43 PM ^
You're telling me this would not be the preferred alternative?
November 11th, 2019 at 1:00 PM ^
Yeah. Yeah! That's what I'll do . . .
November 11th, 2019 at 12:36 PM ^
This is a joke, right? Either way, GFYS, OP!
November 11th, 2019 at 12:38 PM ^
I'm not sure I ever saw a Monday presser (especially following a bye week) where he was super intense. That's mostly on the sideline, and maybe after a game. So nothing to see here.
November 11th, 2019 at 12:46 PM ^
You might want to check out what day it is.
November 11th, 2019 at 12:47 PM ^
Sad.
This is sad? Others have said it well below. There's no need for Harbaugh to show excessive emotion at a Monday press conference.
BTW . . . your user name "Blue Warrior" is pretty rich. Like what makes you a warrior? Are you one of the army of internet tough guys?
Maybe I'm just venting, but I'm pretty sick and tired of so-called Michigan fans, like you, Blue Warrior, dumping on Harbaugh for everything under the sun, mostly just because he hasn't beat OSU. I strongly believe Harbaugh is the right man for the job of Michigan coach. But OSU is not going to lie down and let Harbaugh walk away with championships.
November 11th, 2019 at 12:55 PM ^
People like you celebrate being mediocre, your response is expected StephenRKass.
November 11th, 2019 at 1:03 PM ^
Yes exactly. If only more posters were like you and not that loser StephenRKass we would DEFINITELY be beating OSU on the regular and it would be our name, not Alabama's, that people associate with National Championships.
I mean I know it's been wispered here.....a LOT....that StephenR is the root cause of virtually all of Michigan's issues on the field - what with his well known (but seldom discussed) acceptance of mediocrity and all - but damn it - you were the first visionary to call him out on it.
If only more posters were like you and got outraged at unacceptably sad press conferences then things would shape up pretty fast that's for SURE.
God bless you Blue Warrior - God bless you indeed.
November 11th, 2019 at 1:17 PM ^

Fuck off, troll.
Stop pretending to be a Michigan fan & back to the red cedar board, skippy.
November 11th, 2019 at 1:11 PM ^
He's visiting from 11 Warriors and his username is what passes for clever over there.
November 11th, 2019 at 12:49 PM ^
Did you expect him to snarl and say "next question"?
November 11th, 2019 at 12:56 PM ^
Sounds like Evans will be reinstated for the winter term.
November 11th, 2019 at 1:09 PM ^
Don't read too much into the lack of emotion by Jim, today. I'll be watching to see if he shows emotion on the sideline during the game. I suspect he will.
November 11th, 2019 at 1:11 PM ^
His demeanor is exactly what I would expect from any professional college football coach.
November 11th, 2019 at 1:17 PM ^
I've read dumber things. Can't recall when though.
November 11th, 2019 at 1:30 PM ^
Bye week...
He's probably trying to curb his frustration with having to do a presser and no game! I'd probably be as stoic as possible so I could get back to work.
November 11th, 2019 at 1:44 PM ^
I can't think of any good reason why someone would create an account on here just to make "troll" posts. The best I can come up with:
1. "Blue Warrior" is a teenager, and he's got nothing better to do during his brief respites from self-abuse.
2. He's older but simple, and thinks this is clever. He imagines telling the "popular guys" at RCMB or ElevenWarriors how he "totally trolled" the Michigan fanbase, and they laud his efforts and finally welcome him into the fold.
November 11th, 2019 at 1:45 PM ^
I’ve been clamoring for the Old Jim and I think he’s back. Even the old Jim didn’t flip his shit during a Monday noon presser.
November 11th, 2019 at 2:36 PM ^
He said they were on "full alert" for MSU's trickery and called Dantonio a "master motivator." He said he sent Peters a congratulatory text after he beat MSU. That's as fired up you can expect a coach to be on a Monday presser during rivalry week.
November 11th, 2019 at 6:51 PM ^
Master 'Vator for short
November 11th, 2019 at 3:15 PM ^
He was calm and measured because he knew Michigan didn't pick up an "L" during their bye week...
November 12th, 2019 at 12:58 PM ^
Go read John Bacon’s book “Overtime” and get a clue!?
