I think face-to-face visits are prohibited, but other forms of contact are OK. Besides, if all JH did was contact the family and not the recruit himself, it might be moot anyhow.

Fwiw, on espn today they mentioned coaches being allowed to call recruits once per week during dead period

I think they removed the limit on number of calls/texts during the dead period this year.
