What great run blocking! Huge holes.

Notice the screens, the counters, the draws.  What acceleration, top-end speed, and power!

Oh, my.

We have seen so many great ones in the past.  When again?

Wheatley didn’t create my first happy UM moments, but he did create some of the best. He also was stand-up guy for his family despite some high hurdles that few overcome. I like to think Michigan college scholarship helped with all that. All too rare an outcome in our sordid system in which college football is the minor leagues for the NFL.

He's my ultimate humblebrag guy. We (Saline) beat them ( Dearborn Heights Robichaud) my Junior and Senior Year. He was insanely great but luckily for us the rest of his team was out of shape and ours was pretty damn good.

He will always be my Favorite UM running back, he could do it all.

Ty Wheat was something special in a michigan jersey, just loved to watch him pull away from tacklers once he broke free of LOS. Oh,and BTW, did anyone notice the holes he had to run through...just sayin.

Butch W, Jon Vaughn and the great Tony Boles would certainly be in the discussion on that one.

But Wheats is my all-time favorite too, so I'll side with you there!

Lloyd always said: Tyrone was the most heavily recruited player in the history of MI high school football..

For my 12th birthday, my dad took me to the Michigan-Iowa game in 1992. So, I got to see in person Wheatley’s first 200-yard game, to include an 82-yard TD run. He instantly became my 6th-grade hero.
