Great story on Harbaugh after victory over Neuheisel
Harbaugh runs up to Urban and says "what'd you think about that, Urbz!" and takes off.
I could have gone for three Urbie!"
I pray for the day when we beat ohio badly and go for 2 at the end of the game and when someone asks JH why he went for 2, he can explain it was to get even for woody's asinine move - Michigan Daily 11/22/02:
No Wolverine will forget the 1968 thrashing at the hands of the top-ranked Buckeyes in Ohio Stadium. Michigan kept it close until the half, but Ohio State ran off 29 straight points for the 50-14 victory - but legendary Ohio State coach Woody Hayes wanted more.
On the Buckeyes' last touchdown, Hayes elected to go for the two-point conversion. When asked afterwards by reporters for his reasoning? He replied simply,
"Cause I couldn't go for three."
Asinine? That shit was beautiful. It was rivalry reduced to its purest form.
What was beautiful was what happened in 1969 in The Game.
One move(woody rubbin it in)made the other(1969) have more of an impact. Ya'll agree more than ya think...
I remember watching it and thinking "what a moron, this will come back to bite him in the ass." Man,did it!
"D'you like that Urbz?
TELL YOUR GUYS TO GET USED TO IT"
I'm hoping he extends his hand and as urban goes to shake it pulls it back quickly and yells "PSYCHE!' and runs off

Why would he have said that to Pete Carroll?
is Jim's pet name for Pete.
I think Jim Harbaugh "Jim Harbaughed" him. I mean, Schwartz chased after Harbaugh, indicating that Harbaugh probably said something to him.
behind this meeting/tif?
Harbaugh / Stanford went for 2 up 48-21 late in the game. The try failed, and they ended up winning 55-21.
Much Bo. Yes, please.
the type of thing Pete would have done vs. a rival opponent. People get sick of hearing about USC, and all the drooling that goes on over them...so, he got an appropriate smack down. It's funny, but I'd be pissed if I were on the other side.
He might be a jerk, but he's OUR jerk, and I love him.
"But that is exactly the type of thing Pete would have done vs. a rival opponent."
Do you have proof of such behavior?
He pranks his players, runs a loose practice, and talks smack when someone on his team does something awesome. And yeah, he loves being cheeky.
Actually, after he left USC I grew to like him quite a lot. It wasn't so great when he kept beating us in Rose Bowls, obviously.
+1 to you.
at the Seahawks too. I think Pete Carroll is similar to JH, in that he is a competitor, and has fun winning. Comes across like a dick at times, but if he's on *your* side you like him. So, there is a general perception about him. I did know there were examples out there because I live in Southern California and remembered him doing stuff like that, even if I don't remember the details.
Geese and ganders
Imagine how Coach and Dantonio hand shake will be like. That one will be something to see.
Mork has a dead-fish handshake. Jimmy is going to crush them bones.
Dantonio already looks like a very old man. If he loses to Harbs he could go down quickly.
"Marky". Then hand him a stake and run away. or a spear. whatever. Old man Dantonio doesn't know the difference anyway.
We start thumping good teams like that, especially laying a beating down against OSU or MSU, like stanford did to USC in that clip. I wonder of the two, urbz or mork, would take it worse?
"I mean, who else but Jim Harbaugh can make the postgame handshake must-see TV?"
goes for 2, runs up the score, and sends a message to OSU and Sparty.
Sounds like one of them "good problems." - Marlo
Chris also said this to Marlo

"Point is, it's my turn to wear the crown. We gonna do this. Right, Chris?"
Love that scene.
Oh man. The rest of the Big Ten is going to hate Harbaugh. I can't wait!
Slick Rick (come play for me and I'll give you a Ferrari) was a major toolbag.
I would have laughed if ANY coach had done this to him.
That may be true but Ricky was on John Harbaugh's staff for three years as QBC and OC before this story, so unlikely that Jim wasn't just being Harbaugh!
Different circumstance with Sneaky Pete while at Stanford..
I tingle with glee
... Please please please please be awesome.

Embrace the dickishness. I'm tired of being the good guys.
For what it's worth, Schwartz is the only coach who called Harbaugh on his post-game behavior. After rewatching the film, it looks like Schwartz was pretty damn interested in getting a bit of shoving match started.
as he would have gotten his ass whooped
Neuheisel deserved that 1000%.
So did Schwartz
please keep Harbaughing, i love all his Harbaughness
It will take time, a longer time than most will want to admit.
But it will happen. It will happen....
People, honeselty forget how drastically college football can chnage from one year to the next. That coupled with what he did his first year at SF with a shortened training camp and I just don't think so.
Of course the Freep published this trite shit.
Going for 2 was only part of the story. OSU actually kicked the extra point which was good. We were offsides. Woody took the penalty taking the point off the board and then went for 2. I watched it from the south endzone where it all took place.
