Its behind a paywall, but the interview is worth a read if you can access it.  Focus is on the injury he suffered in the 2016 Orange Bowl (talks about the play and aftermath in some detail) and impact on him both financially and in terms of NFL career.  Made me feel so bad for him all over again.

Last question is about NIL and he rightly thinks he would have made a lot of money from it given his last name.

I'm always rooting for Jake. He will be remembered as one of the top Michigan players of the 2010s, and one of the top tight ends the program has ever seen. Even better that he grew up outside Columbus before coming over to the good guys. He has a promising future in media if that's the path he wants to take.

I hope that Butt finds a career that he loves as much as football.

Its a tough decision - that's why I can't get on board with people who say athletes should play in Bowl games that don't have much meaning attached to them.

Its a personal decision and frankly, some people have more to lose than others.

Good luck to the kid. He was a warrior for the program.... that whole 2016 class was, handling the transition like they did.
