So excited. The new renovation is in the game too. And I'm arguing some jerk off who thinks VT's entrance is better than Michigan. Think I will take tradition over playing Enter Sandman and running on the field like every other school.
The new renovations are in the game? I may be missing something but where did you see that? If they are, I'm doubly pumped.
edit: found it.

last post on that page as of me posting this
Great find. Now I'm super-duper pumped.
I just went from 6 to Midnight
Not just a quarter chub, full on chub.
This never occurred to me, but why is the Miami Hurricane's mascot a duck? It baffles me. I assume there is some background...
This might help ... http://tinyurl.com/38pjm3x
Works every time!
I prefer my answers from humans via the internets. Lord knows what's being censored over at Google.
why is the Miami Hurricane's mascot a duck?
Maybe because if they had a real hurricane inside the stadium things would get a little hairy?
Its not a duck, its an Ibis. Its the last animal to take shelter before a hurricane and the first animal out afterwards. I'm ashamed I know this, but a good friend from high school was a huge miami fan.
Anyone else dislike the "WR 80" nameplates and such that they use? If they're not allowed to put players' names on, I wish they'd just leave the nameplates blank.
Download the rosters from the EA Locker, named ones are in after a week or so. Technically EA shouldn't allow it, but as long as they aren't encouraging it I think they're fine.
To the OP: I've wanted this in every game, and now it's finally here. Way better than all of the mascots. I am very excited.
uh oops. i tried.
so it looks pretty sweet.
Seeing the M Club banner goes a long way towards making up for having the band spell EA Sports last year.
And the last to take cover beforehand.
I like little touches like this to make the experience more authentic.
Then again, if they add all of these features and the gameplay still sucks, it won't make a difference.
Wait... were the WVU players touching a giant piece of wicker? No wonder RR left.
After touching the rock, I wonder if it shows them running down the steps. Always wanted to see one of their players eat it when running down.
Agreed. They should include randomized entrance and pregame injuries.
"Ohio State will have to go to their backup quarterback today, No. 12, because starting QB No. 2 was shot by a sniper during pregame warmups."
I wish they would include the block M formation by the band too
That's our fault, they asked every FBS member school's band department for permission to use the formations in the game, and apparently Michigan said no. Hopefully they've changed their mind but it's all on us and not on EA.
Why wouldn't they let them? How does that make any sense whatsoever?
UM can be weird like that sometimes. I read somewhere that the guys who made American Pie 2 wanted to film scenes at UM and even feature The Victors, but UM didn't give them permission, so MSU was included instead (unless it was going to appear anyways).
This sort of thing also happened with that terrific Sheraton commercial with all the rivals getting along. All the great rivalries are featured, including UM-OSU in the very first scene. Later in the commercial they show Louisville-Memphis. Seriously? That's an old rivalry that isn't even played anymore. Apparently Kentucky didn't give them permission to use their logo, hence the strange inclusion of Memphis instead.
not wanting to be associated with a movie dealing with absurd sex and crude humor =/= a video game lauding a football program
The first one was better anyway.
Fears that people would turn up the TV volume and then you'd be able to hear the band playing?
Necessary?
yeah doesn't make sense to me either
We didn't just say "no you can't use it". They were looking for the drill charts from pyware, software used to design halftime shows. (In fact, if you go to www.pyware.com you can see them bragging about pyware being used to design the marching band segments in NCAA football 10.)
Anyway, the MMB's pregame routine predates these programs and we don't use them for it. In fact, the pregame we do now is somewhat different from the pen-and-paper drill charts, because little changes from season to season have accumulated and never been recorded, everyone just knows how it's currently done. This cause some consternation when we got a new band director in '07 who was trying to read the pregame drill off of the charts and everyone in the band knew it differently.
I think the charts have been updated, but they're still paper charts not pyware ones. There was a big project by the band staff to update the charts in 2007 to reflect what the band actually does.
was slow-playing through, trying to soak up every detail. Could have sworn I saw one of our guys jumping under the banner, with a trail of dreads flopping around. It's about time they added that detail.
Recognize the Pahokee.
I'm pretty sure they had this last year - only it was poorly implemented.
And by poorly implemented I mean - you could create a player with dreads but Denard/Odoms/etc. did not have them.
I've pretty much went through this clip frame by frame and I'm not seeing dreads. Sucks though cause that small addition would make the game so much more authentic for M.
Sounds good. I dont think I've ever watched a pregame intro to any of the NCAA games, but its a nice inclusion. And also, the Big Ten teams to non-Big Ten teams ratio in the video is completely skewed. UM, OSU, PSU, MSU, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois.
If you play Michigan against Syracuse did they include the SU students stealing the Go Blue banner like they did in 1998?
