Give the USC job to Tim DeRuyter

Hell, allow Hayden to do whatever he wants until the end of the season. Allow Fresno to finish the year with their head man, but securing him now would be a major get for this program.  JMO, but the guy knows California, has obviously recruited well there, and unlike Lane Kiffin, has also coached well there.   Let's not forget how he also turned every defense around that he's been associated with. In the h.s. football mecca that is S. CA., he just seems to be the perfect fit.                             ^By now, eveyone knows I can't get a paragraph here, no matter how many times I hit the enter button, but is it as obvious to everyone else as it is to me how much Kelly hurts ND by not utilizing his rushing attack enough. He has recruited some tremendous OLmen and some of the nation's top rbs. I'm not saying it is, but maybe a young man named Cierre Woods noticed the same damn thing.

SBNation did some musing on possible candidates for the USC position - HERE - and oddly enough, Tim DeRuyter is mentioned in this piece. It does point out, however, that his resume as a head coach is essentially limited to Fresno State and one game as the interim at Texas A&M, and that this would possibly be too steep of a climb given the experience level. It's mostly the usual candidates for any big opening that has appeared of late (Franklin, Fitzgerald, Sumlin, etc...), as well as Jeff Fisher and *does double take* Bobby Petrino.

They'll find someone, and I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't a former pro coach kind of like Kiffin.  Sure there are a number of assistant coaches out there who would be good fits, but for some reason USC feels like it needs a big-name HC at this juncture.
