George Mason Hancock to Louisville
George Mason wing and potentiall MBBall transfer is reported to be transfering to louisville according to Dave Telep's twitter
The title is very misleading. Sounds like George Mason Hancock is the name of the kid.
were you expecting news on a George Mason Hancock?
More like Herbie Hancock.
I go to VCU (plays in George Mason's conference) so I've seen him play a number of times. He is a good player who can hit the jump shot and can get to the line when his shot isn't falling. He hustles and plays hard which is his best attribute. I do not think this is a loss for Michigan because they seem to be bringing in guys whose ceiling is higher than his. I won't expect him to make an impact in the Big East but with his determination he might be able to, especially in a system like Louisvilles.
If anything, this is probably for the best, in terms of what UM is looking for. Now we can throw that scholarship at a kid who will be here for 3 or 4 years. The upside is much higher if we can give a scholarship to a high school player.
The upheavel at GMU certainly helps VCU to compete for that conference title this season with GMU and Drexel. I think they have a solid, if unexperienced, starting five. Shaka has some elite talent (well, for VCU's level) committed for the next two seasons. Should be interesting to see how long before he has them back to the Sweet Sixteen or better.
George Mason was the clear favorite if Coach L hadn't left for Miami. Now that he has left and Hancock has left too, I think that it puts Drexel as the favorite. Mason is still number two but if VCU can put things together by the end of the season, they can make a run for the CAA tournement final. The starting five is going to be relatively young/talented, we have one NBA prospect in Bradford Burgess on the team and I'm hoping he can keep them afloat until the young guys catch on. Shaka is recruiting at a high level for VCU and is getting kids with lower level BCS offers to pick us instead. I'm expecting NIT this year but next year this team should be primed for a sweet sixteen run, when our fab five (a bunch of three stars haha) are Juniors.
Title would have been even better had you left "to" out
I see...I am sorry...I took the boards bitching about titles being short and sweet to heart. I will not include all grammatical particles in the future
