Gattis Quote

Submitted by UMich2016 on August 5th, 2021 at 9:07 AM

Gattis was interviewed recently during the Harbaugh Golf Classic.  This quote got me fired up for the season.

"In our building, don’t come near it with a lighter because there’s enough fuel coming out of that building that we don’t need anything to try and push us anymore further. Our guys are fired up. If people say, hey man, what do you need to fuel you? We need nothing. All of what last year went through, it fueled us to this point. We’re motivated. We’re inspired. At the same time, we’ve got the biggest chip on our shoulder because the feelings that our players felt and the feelings our staff felt, we gotta take that out on somebody. That’s why we can’t wait until training camp to get here so we can start building this team for 2021."

The other notable quote he said was Blake Corum was one of the Top 3 most talented players on the team.

Some more word porn to get the masses fired up. Unfortunately it’s all been said before. I bet if you go back and review every pre season quotes from players and coaches where the year before Michigan struggled the quotes would all be quite similar.

WR - AA is going to play as a freshman, he's giving off major Drake Harris vibes in practice, looks as good as anyone in the WR room.

MAzi is a beast

EALL is a NFL player

DE looks like he's going to be part of the offense, and maybe splitting carries... Clearly the highest ceiling.

The staff think they have Joseph (maybe even a silent commit), SM thinks he has the 5* from wash OL leaning BLUE, and Cink has one ready to commit.

Cink, and RB are incredible coaches with hands on mentality. The players really seem to respect them, and our backend may not be as bad as expected.

Cheers

PS: Hope this message doesn't get deleted like the one from 2 weeks ago, for the record not one lie told. Sam called later that afternoon and I shared the whole story with him, maybe he will bring it to light one day.

I must have missed it too.

But not saying I can't happen that things disappear sometimes, as there's a lot of great individual posts by many that are collateral victims when an opening post is based off  links to or info gleaned from verboten websites.

I've never yet been suspicious of Ghost of Jermaine posts and would be shocked if the disappearance of anything he wrote was something other than an unintended victim, lost when an entire thread was taken down.

I swear to God... Gattis, Harbaugh and the rest of the program better not utter a syllable, show their face in public, or take a shit until we beat Ohio state and win da big ten. The media asking them questions is UNACCEPTABLE

Yeah, exactly. You know, as I listened to Harbaugh speak during the media days, he just comes off weird and full of shit and man I hate to say that.

Another thing that I noticed is Warren took a photo with every coach he called up except Harbaugh, it was striking to me and caught Harbaugh off guard and he looked towards Warren to come over and pose with him but he never did. I wonder what was going on with all of that.

I agree  with everyone, talk less, do more...

Same with me, I'm a Show Me Fan now. I really hope I'm wrong on the state of the program and Michigan comes out playing with a chip on their shoulder from opening kick off until the last whistle in whatever bowl or CFP game they are in. But I won't get super excited until I see changes on the field and it'll take more than beating directional schools. Beat Wisconsin, MSU and PSU and I might start to take notice. Beat OSU and I'm changing my tune.

I think its cheap to discount the heart of these young men. Guys on here act like their heart is broken. Well, you don't put the sweat equity into the wolverine season that these young men do. The losses have to hurt them deep.

I, for one, want an offensive coordinator who motivates. And on the occasion that he opens his mouth should signal to us that its his job to do so. So what if his manhood shows now and then.

It would be great if true but it's hard to feel anything about it after seeing basically the same coach speak for the last 15 years. Show the improvement on the field. Our NFL draft performance shows that we have great individual players. So I'm sure we have some exciting talent. But we also have a real knack for wasting it while they're here.
