His Dudeness

Honestly the weird thing is nothing has changed yet.

I mean it very well could be the exact same as it is now next year. We don't know anything yet.

It would be awful but the absolute worst thing that could happen to Michigan Football is if nothing changed. And that is what Garrett Taylor commited to.

LOL that is so awful it's funny.

The season is lost and has been for some time. Whatever. But the only thing that remains salvageable at this point is a recruiting class. While there will be de-commitments, firing Brady at least gives recruits an idea that he won't be here for sure. Who would want to play for him? Fire Brady and give the interim a chance to salvage something.

"I wanted to be a part of a program that knows what it takes to win and the players and coaches develop that culture. I felt like Michigan lost that while watching them play," Taylor said. "As well as the fact that I felt like Michigan wouldn't put me in the best position to get to the next level after college, especially with the problems they've had in developing their players."

This is just sad for me as a lifelong Michigan fan, this is the image of Michigan Football, we are in a free fall and the bottom has not yet been reached.

I tried googling that quotation, but it only turned up some Sparty rivals site as the source.

It's claimed to come from ESPN Insider, but has anyone actually seen that text on ESPN's web site?

I suspect some Sparty fans are trolling.  It just doesn't read like something a 17-year-old kid would say, to me.

Does this surprise anyone.  None of it really matters at this point.  If we get rid of Hoke and make a good hire, we can salvage a decent class.  If not, oh.my.god.

it will get worse before it gets better. I doubt we hang on to anybody at this point. It'll take a true Michigan die hard to follow up on his commitment. Thankfully it's a small class anyway...

thats strange...this seems like the perfect time to jump on the Michigan bandwagon. everything points up from this program....i guess he is scared of the competition...i have no other explanation..

You're kidding i hope.  You think the kid must be scared of competiion, not hat he's worried that the current regime absolutely sucks and if they are fired he has no idea who will replace them?

I keep reading your comment hoping the elipse's point me to "I'm just kidding cause this statement is so ridiculous" but there'a part of me that's not sure.

Tell me you're kidding.

Please.

Garrett. I hope you choose the best place for you to be successful. The Michigan team will be just fine. When the new coaching staff comes in they have a lot of good talent to work with. The turn around will not take as long as some are saying unless we go to a spread offense. With a strong leader this group of guys will be very successful.

I don't blame the kids, but this hurts.  This was going to be Hoke's big gold poop class ever.

Now it will just be poop.

We keep Runyon, Malzone, I hope Weber, Cole and a couple more.

Hopefully the new Coach will not reach and just save a couple of slots for next year.
