This game is fucking nuts.

Klay’s MCL will determine if the Warriors win

Yes, this game is nuts. Lame ending. Also, next season is very interesting now with KD out and the Golden State era of dominance over.

Does Kawhi leave still?

He’s in the rare situation where a superstar in their prime could leave a team, and the team he leaves builds him a statue

I know it's over but which channel/network was carrying this. My cable provider's guide expected the game to be over by the time I tried to tune in, making it an unhelpful resource.

Brutal way for a dynasty end. Absolutely brutal.

Mad respect to the Warriors for gutting it out.

Fuck Raptors fans. Don’t deserve shit.

With a lot of speculation that this playoffs would be down without Lebron, I have to say this was one of the best playoffs of the past 10 years. Some really, really good basketball.

Good for Toronto. A silent superstar, a longtime really good regular season player with playoff demons (Lowry) a budding star in Siakhm, veteran contributors who were forgotten (Gasol and Ibaka) and a College undrafted star (VanVleet) with ice in his veins.

The NBA is in good hands as the Lebron era begins to conclude. If Kawhi stays, the east could become the new west as the C’s are poised to make moves, Philly a player away, and Milwaukee with Giannis and co.

It has been a good ride for the Warriors. It is officially over for them however. Durant won’t be back until 2020 and at 32 off an Achilles, no matter where he is, he won’t be the same. Klay may look to make a change as well.

It is no longer Lebron and the Warriors and it shows that is going to make it so much better.

I wouldn’t worry about LeBron much longer, either. He’s going to be 35 in December, and an old 35 at that. There’s an awful lot of minutes on that body already. He’s the equivalent of a nice looking car, but when you look at the odometer, it’s pushing 300,000 miles.

As for GSW, I think their title window is a whole lot closer to being closed than people realize. This is, what, year 6 or so at the top? There’s a big chunk of guys on that team on the wrong side of 30, and they’ve played a lot of ball the past few years.

Have to wonder if this is the beginning of the end of the Warriors. I doubt Durant sticks around next season, and Klay Thompson may be heading elsewhere as well. Don’t get me wrong, they’ll still be really stinking good as long as Curry stays in town, but they may not be shoe-ins for the Finals anymore.

Depending on where these guys go, we may be seeing a big power shit from West back to East. LeBron is still LeBron, but he’s an old man at this point and the wear and tear on his body will be catching up to him before too long. His window to win another title is pretty darn small, even if AD heads out there. Warriors might be gutted in FA, and you’ve got quite a few good, young teams in the East who all look like they’re maybe a player away from title status. Philly, Boston, and Milwaukee come to mind. And then if Kahwi stays in Toronto, that further solidifies the East’s status next year.

Awesome to see the Raptors win. Tough to see injuries play such a role in the championship, but as they acknowledged, the Warriors have benefited from big-time injuries to other teams during their run as well.

I'm excited for the NBA going forward. Durant on that Warriors team was just completely unfair from a competitive standpoint and assuming he leaves there are at least a half dozen teams that all look like roughly equal shots to win next year.
