Hockey down 3-2 after one against Jack Hughes and the U18 team. Jack's got a goal and an assist. Becker has both of Michigan's. Worried a little about our defense, which was supposed to be the strength.

Just got home from taking my father-in-law to some tests at the hospital. I did not know that they did not validate the valet parking, so I am glad we used the garage while others were being told to just pay the valet and go away.
Just tuned into Tulsa-USF. What have I missed?

It's 10-3 at the half of a game being played in the middle of nowhere, so I'm guessing not a lot! USF has looked like a paper tiger all season and a loss to a bad Tulsa team would end what slim hopes they had at making a NY6 bowl.
A quick check of box score shows Tulsa's QB is 3/15 for 54 yards, but one of those completed passes went for a score. Tulsa also has eight penalties for 65 yards and yet they lead, 10-3.

A week late, but I got to see George Johnson last week as Martin County played here at Okeechobee. He was pretty impressive. I know he’s not coming to play QB, but he made some really nice throws. One was at least 60 yards in the air. He had one play where they fumbled, Chobee picked it up and went the other way. Johnson ran the guy down from about 30 yards back and took the ball like Clarett vs Miami. He is not as big as I expected (maybe 5’10”), but he’s electric. I’m excited to see what he’ll do in AA.

Blake Barnett has had quite a college career arc. 5 Star who was expected to be the answer after Coker graduated at Bama, then Hurts takes his job in the 1st half of his first half, then he doesn’t win the job at ASU, now he’s at USF.

I feel like a lot of hurricanes that make landfall in the Galveston area of Texas probably end up doing stuff to Oklahoma eventually. Like, yeah, maybe not actually still called a "hurricane" at that point, but...you know. Hurricane Ike comes to mind. Skirted the eastern part of Oklahoma, but ended up making it all the way to Michigan.

That storm destroyed southern Ohio where I live. No power for 2 weeks. People in Houston (where the eye went through) had power before we did.

The local high school’s homecoming game is delayed/cancelled due to lightning. Tell XM to add that to his litany of awful SoCal seasons.
It hasn’t rained in 6 months and Ma Nature chooses kickoff time to strike the earth with electrons. Nix that last season. I’m calling this lethal electrical storm season. That should scare the 5*s away from SoCal.

thank you for the notice of lightning strikes. please tell all the 5* and 4* recruits that whenever lightning hits california, wildfires break out and sweep through the cities killing everyone and everything in their path. and they only go out because then the earthquakes swallow them up into the pits of hell. other than that, california is great....
we had snow up here. and went on the road and whomped the home team. oldest two boys now playing on the varsity together and headed to the playoffs. the twins play tomorrow morning. bow hunting in the afternoon/evening after the twins' game. football UTL v. cheeseheads @ 7:30. thank you God.

Arizona is soooooo bad. But so familiar. All the post-Rich Rod problems. Catastrophically bad o-line. Short, running qbs that don't have great passing skills and are in constant danger of walking off limping or getting carried off on a stretcher because of the bad o-line. A defense that suffers from a neglect in recruiting year after year.
