The guy knows how to win, but not in bowls. I think he needs to do something because some of the play calling was bad. He seems to become a little conservative and holds back a little. I honestly think on that goal line stand they should have thrown it at least once. With a tight end like Greshen, why not?

Lloyd never felt any real heat. He retired on his own terms. He wanted to hand it up after '06 but Mary Sue and Martin begged him to come back. Lloyd could have coached as long as he wanted.

he was ready to hang it up after '06 - but was convinced to come back for the seniors. After Henne/Hart/Long were gone, I guess he thought he had done it all and was ready to retire for sure.

Sorry, but the concept of "sportmanship" is a complete urban legend. Football players are told to "punish" to other team. Those plastic face shields are to reduce the other team trying to blind you. All those "hits" on any player (especially the QB) after he is down are practiced over and over and over again. That was on purpose.
