Here is clip from the deposition of a man who commenced a defamation lawsuit against a woman who spoke about the amount of evidence indicating the man's involvement in his stepson's murder.  The man, Terry Hobbs, had his lawsuit dismissed and is now under much greater public scrutiny than before the lawsuit.  The case is related to the famous West Memphis Three trials depicted in HBO's Paradise Lost.

Even though their gig is up, everyone at TSIO is cranking up what's left of the Scarlet Wall of Silence, even if it involves reverse engineering "evidence.

TSIO should change their school motto to "Admit nothing; deny everything."

...that the check on the media is credibility. If you cite the NYT or WSJ, people tend to believe you. SI is probably in that category for sports.

If you cite the Bleacher Report, people just say, "It's the bleacher report." It could be a story about how the sky is blue...yeah, but it's the bleacher report.

Okay, I leave in a 'burb of C'Bus and have to hear all the Buttfly b.s. daily.  They don't seem to get the fact that the article stated clearly that the players traded autographs, equipment, memorabilia and awards for cash, tats and drugs.  The fan base down here is only looking at the ink on the players rather than accepting the fact that the other items are not as obvious to the average fan.

My fear and hope with this whole situation is that greater scrutiny be brought forth in regards to how some of these young atheletes come to have some of the art work and other material possesions they come to have during their time at the great universities that our country has to offer.
