- 97.1 is a great sports talk station in the AM when it is ESPN programming, in the PM you'll want to switch over to 1460 AM which maintains the ESPN programming. 97.1 switches to all tOSU programming after the Cow Turd Show.
- All tOSU players past and present are considered saints by virtually everyone in the town. Where else could talents like Demetrius Stanley & Craig Krenzel get steady radio gigs?
- Don't waste your time arguing with the tOSU fans as you can not win a battle of wits with a nitwit.
- Any police that are not the Columbus Police or the State Highway Patrol will pretty much look for any reason to pull you over and give you a ticket so if you are in a local that has their own force, watch yourself.

Okay, I leave in a 'burb of C'Bus and have to hear all the Buttfly b.s. daily. They don't seem to get the fact that the article stated clearly that the players traded autographs, equipment, memorabilia and awards for cash, tats and drugs. The fan base down here is only looking at the ink on the players rather than accepting the fact that the other items are not as obvious to the average fan.
My fear and hope with this whole situation is that greater scrutiny be brought forth in regards to how some of these young atheletes come to have some of the art work and other material possesions they come to have during their time at the great universities that our country has to offer.
|2 years 46 weeks ago||Actually spent the first 10 years as a tOSU supporter||
Spent the first 10 years of my life pulling for tOSU only because being born and raised in C-Bus you are pretty much brain washed into it. Then there was that faitful day that tOSU fired Earl Bruce for what I felt was really a b.s. reason. I then decided to say FOSU and became BLUE.
Fondly remember the days of Ricky Powers, Leroy Hoard, Elvis Grbac, Tyrone Wheatley, Mercury Hayes, Desmond Howard, Derrick Alexander, Amani Toomer, Charles Woodson et al.
I've made the pilgrimage from central ohio to AA at least once a year since 2000 and began taking my youngest son with me last year. Gotta bring up another generation of BLUE in the house to offset my wife's tOSU sacralidge.

Yeah, their basketball program has rebounded. But if this stuff is going on in the football program, what makes you think it's not going on with the basketball program? Have you seen some of the tat's on the basketball team?????

Section 1, row 12, seats 21 & 22. He's pumped. Last year was the first time I took him to the Big House and he loved it. Has been asking for the past 2 months when the Spring Game would be.

All that K, Grant Hill & all the other Duke supports are doing is growing the massive dislike across the nation for their program and the image they portray. Duke always has portrayed themselves as holier than thou and this situation has just provided them with the opportunity to prove to the world that they truly are a bunch of classless asshats...

Born and raised in cow town. Was brainwashed as a young lad to pull for the communist regime. Broke away from their tyranny in 1985 and have been true BLUE ever since.
Now reside south of the city and have only the following advice to pass along:
Welcome to the area and GO BLUE!

Why we digging up that horse to beat on? We fell on that sword already and nutted up and imposed and took punishment for that already. When will tOSU grow up and do the same?
|2 years 49 weeks ago||A vast majority of the folks||
A vast majority of the folks here in CBus are still seeing everything through scarlet colored glasses. Too many of them do not understand that the issue is no longer that the players sold their wears, it is that the coach knew they had violated NCAA rules and did not report it when he was notified.
It is incredibly nerve racking living here and listening to everyone complain that it is a witch hunt when in fact there is a trail of information that goes on for miles that not only did the players exercise poor judgement, but their coach, their mentor, their guiding light also stepped on his man hood and made the ultimate blunder in thinking that if he ignored the situation it would go unnoticed.
|2 years 49 weeks ago||Saw the article earlier.||
Saw the article earlier. Being in Cow Town heard it mentioned on the radio. Not enough points to start a thread so I wasn't able to post earlier. Just another in a long line of crap ol'boy Jimbo has perpitrated against NCAA. Interesting that tOSU investigated TP's use of a used 2004 Denali to visit PA during his freshman year and found nothing wrong as several dealerships offer a 48 hour test drive. The dealership says he brought it back because he couldn't afford it. WTF! How could a college freshman afford such a vehicle???

There's a tatoo shop in Columbus, Fine Line Ink, that used to have pics posted on their facebook of several of the players getting inked there. I know for sure that Herron got the 'BOOM' tatoo done there by the same guy who has done a couple of my tats.
