Damn it! Just getting ready to crash and now all the familiar, prideful emotions are coming back! Welp, guess I'll just have to re-watch the Championship Game again. Thanks for posting this. Go Blue!

I hear you.  I remember the 1990 NCAA Championship game where with about 5 minutes to go and UNLV leading Duke by 30 there was a screenshot of Jerry Tarkanian just sitting in his chair, legs crossed with his hands folded behind his head as though he were coaching a summer league game somewhere.  That's pretty much how I felt during the Iowa game.  Victory was never in doubt.  And even though we pummeled OSU, I simply couldn't sit down the entire time.  I'm guessing the Georgia game will have me standing again

Yeah but imagine how awful it would have been had we not won on Saturday too. Though we would have finally beaten OSU, that negative stigma about how this team can't close the deal and win the games that matter blah, blah would have still hung around. And the chirping from osu/sparty would have been all-time peak. Of course it wasn't as fun to beat a team we don't really hate (although they apparently really hate us), it was so satisfying to FINALLY lift that trophy. I was on the field against osu in 2003 and to think it would take THAT long to win it (outright) again is kind of incredible. But so relieved it finally happened.

So much for all the "players hate HARBAUGH!, derp, derp"

Winning cures all.  Nice to see the family happy for their youngest brothers finally breaking through.

2016 team deserved the same shot but were robbed in the Shoe.  Glad there is some level of redemption here.

Maybe let ex-players go, even if they did say something you didn't like?

Sometimes this blog (actually, alot of times) reminds me of a woman who is mad at you, or dumping you, and you get The List of the 32,836 times you did something wrong or pissed her off.

LET IT GO

On the opposite end of that, you have Sparty Tears™️. I was in the hospital Saturday (long story but I’m ok) and ran out of things to read, so I took a cautious stroll over to RCMB. I was not disappointed. Some of the gems:

MSU is still the better team.

Michigan has refs in their pocket.

Michigan has the media in their pocket.

Hutchinson is a spoiled brat, just an ok player, and is basically Kenny Willekes.

Iowa would beat Michigan if they had Kenneth Walker at RB.

It’s not that Michigan beats teams; opponents just lay down against them.

I will give MSU its due credit. Michigan couldn't do squat to stop Kenneth Walker III. They just couldn't. It wasn't for lack of effort, but he was just the best player on the field that day and simply wouldn't be denied. He's a great player.

But to say that MSU is the better team is absolutely ludicrous. I think the results on the field have spoken for themselves on that. Honestly, MSU can keep the Paul Bunyan trophy this year. You can have it, little brother. Michigan has a far more important trophy sitting in its case in Ann Arbor right now. Michigan won what will always be the far bigger and far more important rivalry game. Michigan won the conference and is going to the CFP. I can only speak for myself, especially as someone who came from out of state to go to UM, but Michigan's last two games make the loss to MSU completely irrelevant.

Would I rather have beaten MSU? Should Michigan continue to take that game seriously? Of course, but I'd happily watch MSU win every year if it netted the results Michigan has attained this year. Why? Because MSU, in my mind, has always been and always will be the smaller fish. They are never going to be the top priority. They will never be what defines, makes, or breaks Michigan's season.

100%. MSU has a very good team this year, but not a better team than Michigan's. Sometimes you lose games against teams you're better than, and vice versa. Michigan was better than every team we faced this year, and while we were unlucky to lose to Michigan State, we were lucky to pull out close games against Nebraska and Penn State. I'll take it.

Honestly, I think what sticks in the craw for State fans is that we don't care. Like you said, we'll always take that game seriously, but I think almost all of us would be thrilled to have this season over and over again. And that wouldn't be the same with Ohio State--I mean, I'd still be happy with a hypothetical season that resulted in a Big Ten championship and playoff spot despite a loss to OSU, but I would care about the loss. A lot. Not only is it clear that we fans don't really care, but Michigan built its coaching staff for Ohio State, and saved formations and plays all season to run against Ohio State. The entire football program clearly would trade a loss against Michigan State for a win against Ohio State if we had to.

Klatt calling out MSU’s win a ref aided fluke during the B1G championship game was glorious.

Both RCMB and 11 warriors have imploded with this Michigan B1G championship.

Sparty full of delusion, tears and disrespek!

OSU full of anger, defensive hubris, and  an underlying dread that their dominant run may have peaked and Day is indeed not Urban Meyer.

Random small story from Saturday.....Was waiting in line for a beer when Taylor Lewan walked in front of me. Said hi and exchanged some pleasantries before he headed off down to his seats. He would definitely not have been there if the Titans were on a bye!
