Florida interested in Gardner

According to ESPN.com's rumor mill "Edward Aschoff of the Gainesville Sun writes that the Gators would like to add another QB from the 2010 high school class, with Tim Tebow graduating and 2009 recruit Jordan Reed apparently becoming a tight end. That would leave John Brantley and incoming freshman Trey Burton as the only scholarship QBs on the roster. Quarterbacks coach Scott Loeffler recently traveled to Michigan to watch Wolverines commitment Devin Gardner, whom we told you about the other day. Gardner said he remains solidly in U-M's corner, but remember that last year the Wolverines lost their first two QB commitments (one of whom, Kevin Newsome, is expected to start for Penn State next year). Remember, also, that Loeffler is a Michigan alum and was a longtime assistant under Lloyd Carr credited with the development of several NFL quarterbacks, including Tom Brady, so he has plenty of cachet and friends in the state. If the Wolverines go 0-for-November and finish last in the Big Ten, would Gardner change his mind? We've certainly seen stranger things happen. It would be a huge coup for Meyer and another nail in Rich Rodriguez's coffin." p.s. kudos for Mgoblog for being on the same page about the umich AD hunt. but could urban "me and tebow are lovers" meyer pull this off?

Florida has been interested for some time, it's not breaking news. Devin continue to reaffirm his commitment to Michigan and honestly with our situation I still think he has the ability to come in and win the job from day one, Tate or no Tate. He's a big, physical QB who's ability ro run is better than Tate's imo.
