Fera Backing Out?

Submitted by StevieY19 on
There are rumors that Anthony Fera is going to or already has decommitted.  Anyone hearing the same?  Looks like I picked the wrong season to quit sniffing glue.

That he decommitted in their header...

I'm not freaking out (I'll wait til after signing day to do that), but boy there's seems to be a lot of switching going on this year. Is it just because guys are committing too early anymore?

There are more rumors about Shavodrick Beaver and Dewayne Peace possibly taking visits elsewhere. Seriously, anybody that thought that its "okay" that we have a terrible year and expect recruits to just ignore it are crazy. Like it or not, Fat Charlie has Super Bowl rings to flash at recruits. That's why Notre Dame can get away with it and still pull in a top class. Rich Rod doesn't have that luxury. The negative recruiting that other schools are using against the spread-option (zone read) offense isn't helping, either.

is really disturbing. I know its only a kicker, but he will be the third decommit so far and I have heard those rumors about Peace as well. I think this bad of a year is going to bite us in the ass if we don't beat a few more people. If we finish 2-10, I think we will lose a lot more guys.

I was excited about Fera coming in.  I know Rivas had a decent rating for a kicker, but Fera would be the best one we've had in a long time.  I don't know how many times I've wondered why Michigan could never seem to get an elite kicker.  This sucks.  Had to be Joe Pa's line at the end of the BTN commercials.

I heard a week or so ago Shavodrick Beaver was getting soft. Now, much more recently I'm hearing even stronger rumors that he will decommit very soon, like within the next week or two.   If he does, hopefully we'll have a shot at Eugene Smith or even Boyd.
