Evening / Late Night Games Open Thread

Submitted by LSAClassOf2000 on

I was frankly shocked that no such thread was currently up as we're typically so conscious of the slate. No matter, a few notable ones:

Florida State / Oklahoma State - currently 10-0 FSU with the first quarter nearly over.

LSU / Wisconsin - this should be an interesting one. I think it is the only SEC / Big Ten game scheduled this season.

Oregon / South Dakota - Prediction? Pain. No, seriously, the line has Oregon winning by an amount yet to be computed.

At the game today there was, what I thought, a new official in offensive backfield. Watching Clemson/Georgia and don't see that guy anywhere out there. Am I mistaken or is it just a B1G officials (assuming it was a B1G crew) change?

I believe the Big XII was the first to do it, and the Big Ten and ACC have since followed suit. It is definitely a conferce-to-conference thing, from what I remember. The NCAA did give the go-ahead to conferences to do this if they wanted. I think the concern was missing things on backside runs, holding calls, possible chops and a few other things.

Long pass by Winston. Love this time of year. Switching back and forth between multiple college games and the Tigers.

The Idaho-Florida game has been on weather delay for 2 hours now.

How come the Wisconsin-LSU game isn't at the Astrodome in Houston? That's a state-of-the-art facility.

And both times it was me.

Yes, it's a joke. If the roof was ripped off and the turf was floating on 3 inches of water, it would be an exact replica of the Silverdome.

Although the ceiling in that place is pretty cool looking.

Hard to believe the rankings for Clemson. Not just b/c of the current score, but Clemson looking not even close to UGA in execution, talent, scheme, etc.

Clemson, however, does seem to get absolutely destroyed at least once a year recently.

WVU in 2011 (technically 2012)

FSU in 2012.

FSU in 2013.

Georgia in 2014.

Clemson usually beats some pretty decent teams outside of that one game each year where the ball is so absolutely dropped.

The WVU one is probably the worst.
