You might be right. A coworker of mine who is a huge buckeye fan (an actual rational one) said a lot of the talk going around with buckeye insiders said Urban promised Cardale that he would start. This same buckeye admitted to me he's legitimately worried about the Michigan game. So take that for what it's worth.

how on earth did Michigan lose to MSU?

As we are seeing tonoght Rutgers is terrible at the game of football.  But MSU needed a late TD to beat Rutgers.

Michigan should have beat MSU by 14 at least.  The punt gets all the attention, but in fact M's offense was just bad against MSU.

They're going to be a challenge for sure, but at the same time I'm going to assume M figures out a way to score against a team that gave up 30 to Maryland, along with the fact that M has shut die every running back they've faced and placing the game in Hackenburgs hands is........risky at best.

But it is also a very limited offense.  Rudock is just mediocre and his limits sort of make it difficult for Michigan to game plan around certain types of defensive units.

Against teams that do not have great d-lines, M's offense is more than good enough (given the D).  But against MSU's great d-line, and poor secondary, well you know what happened...

Stilll, I do think that Michigan thought they were going to be able to run a bit better against MSU than thay actually did.  So the offensive game plan was not ideal.

Maybe the benefit will be a different sort of game plan against OSU.

He makes good decisions for the most part and can thread the needle on sideline passes. There are QBs in the NFL who can't do that consistently. He'll be a backup next year.

Griese just said the Stanford offense is the most impressive in college football, from a scheme standpoint.

uuuuuhhhhhh

That's Harbaugh's baby and what we're running right now.

OSU is going to light up MSU. Bad news is we are going to have to pull something out of our ass on offense or else we'll lose by 30.

Oh come on. Hoke's teams played well against OSU. Our offense is far better this year compared to last two years. Jim will have these guys ready. We'll be fine.

Yep, unless we can find a way to run the ball, which I doubt. OSU will put up points. Against anyone.

That offense will be rolling now as long as Barrett is healthy. So many weapons.

OSU doesn't have a precision passer like Cook, and with Peppers coming on M is less vulnerable to spreads. If our defense can hold OSU's offense down then we should have a decent chance.

Really? So we keep our games with OSU close with Hoke coached teams but you have us shitting the bed with a Harbaugh led team with essentially the same guys we had last year? All because OSU finally looked good against a garbage team like Rutgers? Lol ok.
