I'm starting to wonder who in CFB this year is 'for real'. No one in the Pac12 looks like a natioal title contender
Looks like it's Ohio State and Clemson,? I'm not sold on TCU or Baylor right now.
October 24th, 2015 at 11:06 PM ^
Scratch Baylor. They play games a little too close, but I would not want to face LSU.
October 24th, 2015 at 11:07 PM ^
Looks like Ohio State, Clemson, LSU/Bama, and TCU/Baylor for your playoff spots. I don't know who else could even be considered an option unless OSU gaks the game against MSU

figured out that OSU is much better with JT Barrett starting.

Can't believe it lasted this long. Almost seemed political.

Yup. Beating OSU just got a whole lot harder. I hope our defense is up to the challenge.

OSU might score 50 points on MSU with that secondary.
With Connor Cook looking like Aaron Rodgers, I'd say that'll be a high scoring game.

Stanford stadium is small. Just 50,000 seats.

i always thought it was weirdly shaped too. Small capacity yet almost never full. Two decks all the way around in a hexagon

how on earth did Michigan lose to MSU?
As we are seeing tonoght Rutgers is terrible at the game of football. But MSU needed a late TD to beat Rutgers.
Michigan should have beat MSU by 14 at least. The punt gets all the attention, but in fact M's offense was just bad against MSU.

But it is also a very limited offense. Rudock is just mediocre and his limits sort of make it difficult for Michigan to game plan around certain types of defensive units.
Against teams that do not have great d-lines, M's offense is more than good enough (given the D). But against MSU's great d-line, and poor secondary, well you know what happened...
Stilll, I do think that Michigan thought they were going to be able to run a bit better against MSU than thay actually did. So the offensive game plan was not ideal.
Maybe the benefit will be a different sort of game plan against OSU.

Compare Cook to Ruddock and it gets easier to understand. Big difference in the most important position on the field

aganst MSU (except for the blown coverage on the pass to the FB). But Cook is accurate and hit just enough throws in the 4th quarter (plus, you know, THAT WHICH SHALL NOT BE MENTIONED).
October 24th, 2015 at 11:02 PM ^
Cook will be in the NFL next year and Rudock will be in med school.

He makes good decisions for the most part and can thread the needle on sideline passes. There are QBs in the NFL who can't do that consistently. He'll be a backup next year.

just like last year, they're going to gain steam at the end of the year and roll into the playoff in all likelihood
October 24th, 2015 at 11:02 PM ^
You're conceding defeat to them already? Harbaugh would be disappointed to know that.
October 24th, 2015 at 11:28 PM ^
I'm not conceding defeat but OSU's offense looks to be gaining their footing and Rudock-led offenses don't score many points. If I'm a neutral observer, my money would be on Ohio State

doesn't change the fact that OSU started slow last year and trucked through the end of their schedule. Now this year OSU is starting slow and might be gaining steam again

Griese just said the Stanford offense is the most impressive in college football, from a scheme standpoint.
uuuuuhhhhhh
That's Harbaugh's baby and what we're running right now.

we need playmakers. skilled guys, fast guys. I look at many top 15 teams and they have those guys out the wazzou. Hoke recruited well, but did not get many fast guys.
October 24th, 2015 at 11:04 PM ^
OSU is going to light up MSU. Bad news is we are going to have to pull something out of our ass on offense or else we'll lose by 30.
October 24th, 2015 at 11:07 PM ^
Oh come on. Hoke's teams played well against OSU. Our offense is far better this year compared to last two years. Jim will have these guys ready. We'll be fine.
October 24th, 2015 at 11:10 PM ^
Yep, unless we can find a way to run the ball, which I doubt. OSU will put up points. Against anyone.
That offense will be rolling now as long as Barrett is healthy. So many weapons.

Need to go back and look at whatever it was that Drake Johnson was able to do.
