Enemy UFRs.
I don't think I've ever seen this mentioned before. Do any of you know of other fan sites that break down games play by play like Brian does for us? I'd love to be able to read up on future opponents that way, and I'd also really enjoy going through a game we've already played from the other perspective...well, the ones we've won anyway. In my many years of surfing for schadenfreude on other sites, I've never run across anything like the UFRs. It's also just a reminder of how lucky we are that Brian puts in the time and effort to do them.

PFF is the only outet I know of that tries to grade every player on every play like UFR does. That said, I think UFR is on a different level of detail. Even Guru Conelly only assesses 1-5 players per play (ball handlers and tacklers).
It'd be dope if we could get UFR coverage for every B1G team. I'd be willing to grade a B1G team if it meant we'd get the whole conference graded evey week.

Reminds me of several years ago, when I was talking to a guy who was a former entertainment writer for the Detroit News. I said that it must have been a great job, watching movies and TV for a living.
He said yes, it was ... until he had to watch one that was an absolute piece of shit. But instead of being able to walk out or turn it off, he had to sit through the whole thing. Worse, he had to watch it with an open mind, so he could review it fairly.
Brian had the similar problem during the RichRod years. He had to sit through every play during the period when UM was the football equivalent of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo."
So, yeah - perspective.

What makes you think Brian does not need counseling? Do you listen to the podcast? to the MGoBlog Roundtable on WTKA??

Very few other team-focused college football blogs are also a person's employment. Most are a few dudes who all have day jobs.

I couldn't possibly imagine being an Illinois football blogger who has to watch each game twice.

Go back and read the analysis done after the MOON game.

(I mean, seriously--have you seen Illinois this year? They may not break 200 total points scored.)

Not in this depth, but Ross Fulton does a lot of OSU analysis.

for using the word "enemy". Please note that all of our rival schools are also great schools that offer great academics, and you can find a great deal of talented, even brilliant people among their students, alumni and fans. I would hate there to be the impression that there is any acrimony between Michigan and those teams that the Wolverines compete against in a friendly and fair spirit.
