Dymonte Thomas Offered by OSU, Promptly Says, "Haha but its too late, I'm Blue Nation now!"
To ease the pain of losing a recruit we never actually had, just know that his cousin, one of the best players in Ohio for 2013, is strong in his commitment to Michigan despite a recent OSU offer.

The force is strong with this one
December 13th, 2011 at 8:36 PM ^
help Michigan win, he will
December 14th, 2011 at 11:26 AM ^
That boy (Dunn) was our last hope.
~~ No, there is another....
December 13th, 2011 at 8:11 PM ^
This does soften the blow!
December 13th, 2011 at 8:11 PM ^
to Michigan has been the friendships he's created and the family atmosphere that so many of the recruits have talked about. Didn't he and Shane Morris decide to room together when they finally get on campus?
December 13th, 2011 at 8:35 PM ^
Well...to be fair, there's n one else to choose from right now.
December 13th, 2011 at 8:17 PM ^
He just became my favorite recruit, sorry Shane Morris :) your number two now
December 13th, 2011 at 8:34 PM ^
December 13th, 2011 at 8:48 PM ^
Okay I got two favorites, Shane and Thomas, can't wait to see future of this team :)
December 13th, 2011 at 9:06 PM ^
They're both awesome.
December 13th, 2011 at 8:18 PM ^
so Urban didn't steal him from us. HOWEVAH when he tried to steal Dymonte from us, he basically said fuck you! Nice try Leyer, but...
December 13th, 2011 at 8:20 PM ^
I like how you corrected his spelling when making the thread title. Very mgoblog of you.
December 13th, 2011 at 8:23 PM ^
Not to be a downer, but seriously, he's only a junior in high school. There is plenty of time for him to re-consider. It would be silly to totally disregard the fact that Dunn will now be going to Ohio. I do like the fact that he is really good friends with Morris, because he's about the only person in either class that I'm certain is 100% going to UM. Coaches need to keep the love on Dymonte for the next year and a half.
December 13th, 2011 at 8:27 PM ^
The fact that Dunn and Dymonte are cousins didn't effect Dymonte's initial choice of UM and Dunn's decision to go to Ohio, why should it effect's Dymonte's, now?
December 13th, 2011 at 8:40 PM ^
It very well may not, but again, it's silly to just assume it will have no effect. Dunn will get an entire year of talking up Ohio to Dymonte. That will count for something. Will it overcome his relationship with the staff and Morris? I don't think so, but you never know.
December 13th, 2011 at 8:51 PM ^
"Hey cuz... it's awesome here."
"Yeah, why?"
"Because I'm their star back."
"Didn't you only have 501 yards this season as a starter?"
"Yeah."
"I thought Urban said he'd use you a lot. Like 1,200 yards or something."
"Yeah. But it's still cool! I mean, check out these tats! And I get a phat ride, too..."
December 13th, 2011 at 10:43 PM ^
dunn says he only had 501 rushing yards DYMONTE will say you should have went to Michigan.
December 14th, 2011 at 9:45 AM ^
(Slow clap)
December 13th, 2011 at 8:23 PM ^
long time before he signs but i think he sticks with the good guys
December 13th, 2011 at 8:24 PM ^
He's obviously the smart one in his family.

December 13th, 2011 at 8:42 PM ^
Ohio just came off one of the best stretches in the history of their school under Tressel, and is now facing the NCAA for major sanctions, but now the program has never been stronger? Seriously, why do people buy that?
Oh, and PS, there is a certain school a bit to the north that disputes that claim of the best staff...
December 13th, 2011 at 8:46 PM ^
Best staff in the nation? Does that mean he's bringing back Dan Mullen?
December 13th, 2011 at 10:37 PM ^
I thought Mattison said he wasn't going anywhere?
December 13th, 2011 at 8:35 PM ^
December 13th, 2011 at 8:48 PM ^
If he stills one of our recruits. I'm going to helmet to helmet him like Harrison from the Stealers. He better not even be thinking about it steel.
December 13th, 2011 at 8:42 PM ^
I like this kid, he'll be a star and a major brick in our future lockdown secondary...Let's Go Blue!!
December 13th, 2011 at 8:47 PM ^
I have seen both Dunn and Thomas live several times and although both are good, I really think we are getting the better player.
I realze that what I think matters to no one, so I'll shut up now.
December 13th, 2011 at 8:48 PM ^
Not to worry about Dymonte, love it! Maybe Urban will use his premonitions of death and dreams of players in Ohio uniforms while he fulfills his new "Dream Job" as recruiting tactics.
December 13th, 2011 at 9:03 PM ^
I have a feeling that our 2013 recruiting class could be even stronger than the one we have coming in now. No disrespect to the guys from 2012 at all, but we already have players that we can actually build our offense and defense around in that class and there's still 14 months left until signing day.
The future is still very bright for this program regardless of who is coaching in Ohio.
December 13th, 2011 at 9:09 PM ^
Morris and Dymonte just seem like players you'd want to play with too. They seem to have already been recruiting heavily to get other guys. I agree we should have a great class next year too.
December 13th, 2011 at 9:21 PM ^
This 2013 class you speak of will be the first true indication on the strength of recruiting with our staff. The Ohio folks I know whined that they "weren't at 100% this year" and "didn't have a coach"...they have no more excuses.
Don't get me wrong, I loved winning this year; a win is a win. But nothing is sweeter than beating OSU at their best, when they know that you just beat their best.
December 13th, 2011 at 10:47 PM ^
Another thing to take into account was the amount of talent in the midwest this year, I don't know how 2013 is supposed to be, but I expect some sort of a dropoff.
December 13th, 2011 at 9:12 PM ^
Watch what they do, not what they say ;) I think he flips to OSU.
December 14th, 2011 at 1:51 AM ^
;) cool ;) story ;) bro ;)
December 13th, 2011 at 9:22 PM ^
Can't wait to see him suit up for us.
Whatever about Dunn, we have some RB's (Hayes, Rawls) I am looking forward to seeing out there next year. We can go home-run for the big recruit next year.
Plus we now have a spot in the class un-reserved for another...DL? OL?
December 13th, 2011 at 9:23 PM ^
Love this kid
December 13th, 2011 at 9:34 PM ^
Is it just me, or is the complete lack of proper grammer in these 'tweet' things really bothering anybody else? Maybe I'm getting old.
December 13th, 2011 at 9:45 PM ^
I hear ya...that and the whole "/s" comment when there was no sarcasm involved at all.
Probably the teacher coming out in me...
December 13th, 2011 at 10:16 PM ^
how many characters you can use, you have to read between the grammar lines. That is why text messaging and twitter messages "r tuf 2 read".
December 14th, 2011 at 8:45 AM ^
Not really, but the irony of misspelling "grammar" while complaining about the grammar of others is just too delicious to pass up ;)
All snarkiness aside, though, you're completely right. But hey, he's an Ohio kid. We can't expect him to be fully literate until he starts taking classes at a real institution of higher learning.
December 14th, 2011 at 9:03 AM ^
Here's some proper grammer for you:
December 13th, 2011 at 10:53 PM ^
I guess he and Dunn are not cousins anymore.
December 14th, 2011 at 4:29 AM ^
So is he still EE or what? And when is this NCAA sanction coming out, can't wait to hear it. But have to admit Meyer is heck of a recruiter. First steals from PennSt. MSU, and now UM(consider Dunn was slightly favoring us, so i say it's a steal). I guess Meyer's championships sell pretty good to kids. Hoke better keep this class together, and put on a statement in the Suger bowl.
