Donated again. Go Blue.

I love this team, they’ve brought me so much joy. I tried to donate $100, but it appears the site is blocking me because I’m in Saudi Arabia. Then with a VPN on it won’t process the transaction using any of their payment options. I’ll have to wait until I’m back in the US, unfortunately.

My friend in the US saw this, recognized my username, and donated on my behalf before midnight! Go Blue!

Donate!

It's great to donate and that someone is matching it. But where is the "money cannon"? Everyone always talked about these big alumni donors, where are they?
January 7th, 2024 at 3:57 PM ^
Good question. We have over 640,000 living alumni. Raising $1 million quickly this year should be a piece of cake.
I donated, and I've passed the word on to several friends who are big fans. Speaking of which, does anybody have Tom Brady's cell #? Joking, not joking.

I'm going to guess they are in a separate category? Jared Wangler probably is meeting with them personally to work those things out. Probably not hitting big donors with the "Yo hit the GoFundMe.."

I donated to Those Who Stay. While I was at it, I donated to MGoBlog Beveled Guilt.
Go Blue!

Great idea and appreciate everyone involved. Out of pure curiosity what’s with “our rivals are stealing our players” angle? Always looked at this being more of a nfl or kind of deal. Who is in danger of transferring to a rival?
January 7th, 2024 at 6:03 PM ^
Fear is a stronger motivation for humans than love, so it's a better fundraising strategy to create fear ("we are threatened") than to inspire love ("these are great players, let's keep them")
It doesn't matter. Let's keep the band together. Marketing people play their games--we can actually do what makes us happy.

This has been mentioned in other threads, and I cannot agree more. If the younger players have agents that are shopping for the best deal, that kid would have been unlikely to come here to begin with, or unlikely to stay. Feels wild if Kenneth Grant, Mason Graham, Will Johnson, or any of the big young guys would leave for an NIL deal.

If I were another team with a lot of money to throw around It's be targeting all our DEs, Edwards, some of our backup CBs with a lot of talent, Zeke Berry, Trente, and a few other back up OL with a lot of talent but uncertain playing time next year. You don't think other teams are coming after our players?
