Dude is a monster. They have no answer for him right now.

The wetness on that three was.

Imagine if he were 6-10 or 6-11 instead of 6-7.

He'd be a borderline lottery pick.

Heck, he'd probably be in the NBA by now. Let's enjoy the fact that he's a 'tweener at the next level.

He would have carried UM on his back during a few of those losses, and the NCAA would be sewn up by now.

Hell of a game, we needed it!

Just because I think no one else will want to bring it up: The officiating was pretty terrible again ...except the bad calls were in our favor. Purdue fans must understandably be upset, although you can't tell me we didn't earn it with 80% shooting in the 2nd half.

There were a couple bad calls (and no-calls) that went in our favor, but on the whole I didn't think PU got that bad of a whistle. They drew a LOT of three-point plays on very minor contact. Hummel also got to shoot three FTs on three separate occasions, which you basically never see. They also got a technical foul called on one of our assistant coaches (again, not something you see often).

Shortly after the non-foul on Cramer's dunk attempt, they called a weak over-the-back against us. Manny was roughed up several times on the way to the basket and didn't get a ton of calls, so I think it was pretty even. We were up by like 16 points at one point, and you can't blame all that on officiating.

The no-call on Cramer's dunk was definitely bad. It seems that poor referees generally get swept up in the crowd - ie, they generally favor the home team.
That said, when they called Grady for palming at mid-court with nobody close to him, I did chuckle a little bit.

the officiating was terrible - in that it was inconsistent. specifically, the sequence where manny took it to the rack, got bumped a little, but made the layup and was looking for a call which didn't come. of course, on purdue's next possession, one of their guys made the exact same play, with minor contact, and was awarded a 3 point play.

The game wasn't close enough to blame on the officiating. 80% is total domination and has nothing to do with any calls

was definitely born again hard.

and i didn't want to start a new thread. Did UM wear throwback jerseys this yr? i thought i saw a clip of Manny driving to the hole wearing one? who did they play if they did?

Yes - we wore them for the home OSU game, when we honored the 1989 national champs. Unfortunately, we collapsed down the stretch and let that game get away. That one still stings.

Terry Mills looked, eh... healthy?
