Jacksonville just got a whole lot brighter.
Aww yeah! I'm in Jacksonville and will go see a few of his games

Robinson’s signing bonus slot is $213,612 and his 2013 salary cap number will be $458,403.
While not specifically about Denard's contract, this article here (HERE) from the National Football Post back in May gave some insight into the amounts and structure of rookie deal this yeat by round.
According to their figuring: "The median deal in the fifth round should be worth $2,348,800 over four years with a $188,880 signing bonus."
If they did the math right, I would assume that the general range we're talking about here.
of 5th rd picks get 4 yr contracts?
That Denard is a first round pick stuck in a fifth round picks body?
contracts are not guaranteed in the NFL, but some contracts have guaranteed money in them that the player would still get if they were cut unless it is an Aaron Hernandez situation. That is why you see NFL players get huge signing bonuses.
For rookies, the signing bonus is the only guaranteed part of the deal, so yes, if the Jaguars cut Denard tomorrow he would only get the signing bonus. Veterans can sign deals that include guaranteed money in the form of signing bonuses, roster bonuses, and guaranteed base salary as well.
to draft Denard somewhere around the 12th round of my fantasy draft this year and laugh every time he helps me beat one of the OSU homers that comprise 75% of said league.
Drafting anybody from the Jags' offense other than Jones-Drew, even the OW, would be a bold move.
Cecil Shorts ended up being a kick-ass mid-season pick up for me. That guy really quietly put together very solid numbers as the season wore on.
Denard's Yards Per Dollar is going to be top 5 in the league for sure.
I would love to see the actual YP$ figures from recent years
This is only for the NFC North and uses this year's salaries vs. last year's data.

I really hope the jags find a way to utilize Denard and showcase his abilities. I have never followed them much, so I really have no idea if they have the type of innovative coordinators to do that, but I hope it's the case and he doesn't just sit around on the bench.
I would imagine he is a marketing gold mine too once he gets a few games under his belt and we start seeing 70 yd TD runs on Sportscenter.
a great ambassador for the university, and hopefully he makes it really big with his next contract!
It is so great to see Denard to be able to give some $$$ back to his family.
