I'm about the least political person to the point where I will likely not vote at all this coming election.  With that, Dave Chappelle for president would be something I can really get behind.  I would definitely vote for him and feel he could really be the one of the best presidents ever.

Yea, that sounds crazy...so crazy it just might work!

Denard is a good dude and I'm really happy for him. For some reason, I assumed he made plays using his incredible athleticism but based on this job I guess he was a real student of the game too. I think he'd be a great young coach at Michigan after a few years doing this sort of thing.

Anybody else notice all the people in the comments saying Denard was the one who got rocked by Clowney but we all know it was actually RB Vincent Smith

By far the brightest spot of the RichRod era. So glad he got a quality defense when Hoke came on, and I’m so sorry about Al Borges’s MSU, Iowa, and Sugar Bowl game plans.

I’ve never seen a more delightful and positive person or more electric force on the field

I was still bummed that he never got moved to running back after he hurt himself and couldn't throw against OSU.  Everyone knew he couldn't throw.  They played him, so he was healthy enough to play.  Just would have loved to see him with Devin. Best buds together in the back field.  I think they would have been a crazy force.

without a doubt. I've shared this many times. His freshman year he ran indoor track, the kid was a through and through Michigan man. We saw him ready for the 60m vs OSU in 'the dual'. kid nearly broke the building record his first run. After the race, I had my son with me, shared a few seconds, and thanked him for being such a positive force. Very humbly talked with us, and actually apologized for having to leave as the coach was calling for him...just a class act and phenomenal athlete.

I was there and watched him at that same race. I also spoke to him afterwards, as in after the track meet ended and he was getting ready to leave the building. I told that us alumni were impressed with his performances on the football field in his freshman season and thought he'd have a successful career. He smiled and thanked me for my comments.

So glad he's making it professionally, the Hoke era was an absolute malpractice in wasting talent. The fact Denard and Devin barely made it out of their tenures alive let alone healthy is horrific, not going after Harbaugh before the 2011 season and settling on Hoke doomed quite possibly two of the best raw QB talents to ever come through Ann Arbor.

To think what Harbaugh could have done with Devin Gardner. My goodness, he could’ve been our Cam Newton (minus the scandal part of course). I’m not discounting that he’d have done well with Denard either. But Denard just didn’t quite have the arm or size Devin did.

In Bacon's book, it sounds like Michigan DID have a chance to get Harbaugh at that time and Brandon was surprised when Harbaugh took the NFL job. It sounds like Harbaugh was not "feeling the love" from Brandon.  So not complete fabrication, but person you are responding too is probably referencing Bacon's book when describing the situation.

Man I love Denard. He was so electric, on any given play he could do something crazy and score a TD. About the only one even remotely similar since was Peppers when he was on offense or punt return. So happy for him and hope he does great in this next stage of his career!

Awesome news for an awesome Michigan man.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall when he's going over things with the other coaches, "OK guys, one thing I found helpful during my playing days was to be 5 standard deviations more athletic than other humans, I think we should try that with our team".
