Spelling is important, man.
Dude, we're all checking the board tonight in hopes of hearing of another commit for us at the BBQ. No need to bring us down with a thread on a commit to ohio from a fringe top-100 recruit that I had never even heard of.
Oddly quiet actually. Even with no commits I thought there might be some updates of some sort.
I thought for sure we would get some good new todays as well.
Lots of paywalled stuff at Scout, saying that Michigan made quite the impression on a number of visitors.
It's not that much of a stretch, but they need one more top rated lineman before they compare
We had five 4 stars and one 5 star OL in our class last year. Currently they have three 4 stars and a 3 star.
Knox is the real deal. He easily handled some top DL's at recent camps. I was hoping he would go to UCLA.
Fort Knox.
Nice pick up, but it's not going to save OSU's line from being a disaster next year. They need a JUCO badly.
they desperately need OLine help. But I don't think their Oline commits even compare to ours the last 2 years, especially guard.
The MSU Oline has been bad the last few years.
Dang. Big get for the Bobcats.
I'm really not worried. The 11W site can bluster all they want about their OL haul - we've basically been getting that for the past 3 years.
Our skill positions are filling out incredibly well now. I remember when we became concerned because Laquon didn't commit. Now we have two elite receivers and tall, solid receivers, along with dynamite TE's and a power back. I'm worried we might be a little thin at tailback but I think someone will break out to help Green develop. When the dust settles, Borges and Mattinson will be cackling with glee, like a kid that set NCAA 14 to easy. It'll be an awesome sight.
Well said. I am one of those fans who thinks that UM, ND and OSU (pretty much the only relevant teams in this region) can all make each other better by recruiting better. Eluemunor, the JC from PA that I think you are referring to, chose Arkansas this past weekend. Chad Mavety, a JC from NY, is predicted to join OSU by 247.
Ohio's going to get theirs too I suppose....
He's a good get for Ohio. The battle in the trenches for the Game in the next few years will be absolutely epic.
He had an offer from UM.. but it was non-commitable.
I know Knox is originally from Ohio, but they have had 4 top guys in the last 2 recruiting classes from Texas, Dontre Wilson (86), Mike Mitchell (84), JT Barrett (82), and Demedtius Knox (82). Is there a particular recruiter for OSU that is having success or is it just chance the past few years?
OC Tom Herman. He coached at Texas, Sam Houston State, and Rice. He was involved in recruiting all of the TX commits. Unfortunately, many think he will be a head coach somewhere next season.
Tom Herman, who pretty much everyone including Buckeye sites believe will be gone for a HC role next year.
