Dee Hart RE-committing??

Submitted by BKFinest on

Take it for what it's worth, but apparently Rod Smith had an in-house with Dee after the game and apparently has him back on board. The situation is fluid, but the text I got said from a connected source said " Will Campbell, 2010 version - Dee to recommit to Mich @ Army All American game."

TomVH? Any legs?

EDIT: Also picked up by GBW. http://michigan.scout.com/a.z?s=162&p=2&c=1028124&ssf=1&RequestedURL=ht…

Would if this whole thing did boil down to us picking up justice hayes? Not competition wise, but i remember his mom saying he wanted to go somewhere he felt he was truly wanted and felt like family. When he visited here fans were yelling "Hey Dee have you gone blue yet?come to michigan we need you" and other things like that. When he goes on michigan football blogs its Dee Hart this and Dee Hart that.Yet last night on alabama football blogs they were asking things like who is this kid? How good is he? and talked about others backs they wanted to land. Maybe dee felt slighted after we picked up another back. I think he will stay with Michigan

Rod Smith was there, yes. Dee didn't announce anything last night, so yes it's possible. I don't think anyone will know until Dee makes his final decision. Chris Hayes with the Orlando Sentinel said there might be a chance Hart doesn't enroll early too. We'll see.

The main point of recruiting is selling both the University and the football program.  It seems that, athough coaches are not having the success we all want on the field, they are doing an excellent job of selling the University.  The issue is that most big time recruits potential only want to play for a winner, and care less about academic.  Its tough even at JC's where they are only there to get eligile and transfer out.  Not knocking that perspective, but most players days of playing football are numbered and they and excellent education is your back-up plan.  Hopefully, Dee can see that no matter what happens in the next month, he can succeed here on and off the field.

To the OP:  its been a lot fun reading everyone perspectives recently, though at times we all are getting a bit frantic, still interesting and fun to see the passion we all share for Michigan.

I think you bring up a really good point that many haven't brought up.  For recruiting, a coach sells himself, the program and the University.  For us, the coach will sell the education aspect.  If Harbaugh ever comes here to coach, how is he going to sell that.  I wonder if recruits will dig up what he said about the school 4 years ago.  Just a thought, wasn't suppose to imply any RR vs. Jim.

I'm mostly a reader and not a poster but I've seen posts with the term Bolivian multiple times.  People do know that the word is oblivion...correct?  The only reason that word Bolivian should be used is to describe the police that killed Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
