Day 41 Risk - Chaos Has Been Pushed Back, But Now The Evil Empire Is Threatening Alaska and California. Scotty, We Need More Power!

Last night was a decidedly mixed bag for the Good Guys. On the plus side, Chaos is no longer on our border and we maintained our footholds in Hawaii and North Carolina (where we are invading Georgia Tech's territory). On the negative side, Ohio State creeped closer to Alaska and Georgia Tech expanded its presence in California.

Both of the latter developments are a real problem for us. In case you don't know, Boston College connects to the Pacific northwest through Alaska, so Ohio State taking that territory could become a major headache for us (just like us going the opposite direction was a major headache for the Buckeyes).

Georgia Tech's expansion is perhaps just as troubling. After last night, we have exactly 0 protected territories in California. Thus, it's theoretically possible that California could be painted entirely Dijon yellow tomorrow (GT lists their colors as white and "Old gold"....but it's Dijon mustard).

If we're able to push Ohio State back in the northeast and shrink/eliminate GT's foothold in California, we'll be sitting pretty in the home stretch of this game. 1,346 of you played last night...let's push that number even closer to 1,500! Participation tends to dip during the weekend. Let's take advantage of that likelihood by increasing our own advantage. Every single one of you is important!
