I didn’t want to start a post to junk up the board, but I think it’s ok to be disappointed in how the season ended for baseball.
i had no expectations for them when the tournament started, I hoped they’d win at least one, maybe two, but they moved on to face UCLA. Again, expectations were low for this series, then they win game one and eventually beat the number one team.
They made it, surely this momentum can’t last in Omaha. Well it did. Four straight wins including a win in the final. Now my expectations are sky high because I’ve seen what this team can do and how they are capable of playing. Your expectations are raised as they are exceeded. So you can still be disappointed in how the season ended, wishing for a better performance while still appreciating how awesome the run was and how hard these athletes played.
Hats off to our old ball team. Hopefully there’s more magic this time next year.
