Very impressive, 2+Ks/inning over 25 total innings vs 50+ games and 1st or 2nd for rookies in many significant categories.  Tough to compare the two, the utter dominance for 1 inning in less than half of the games or consistently hittinf the ball at a high level and playing solid defense at multiple positions.

On a very related note of the importance of an everyday player, tonight he was the “number 7” top ten play on defense, 3 for 4 with a home run in the 8th to ice the game.

All votes were supposed to be in before the Wild Card games began, but historically some voters ignore that requirement. Cronenworth’s performance in this series plus Williams’ missing his series may help Cronenworth.

BTW, I’ve also seen some writers touting Alec Bohm of the Phils.  He didn’t start the season for the Phils, but he wound up hitting .332 with 4 homers and an .881 OPS. Cronenworth wound up .285 with an .831 OPS. Jacob is a much, much better fielder than Bohm, so that puts him ahead of Bohm in my mind.

This is why “Player Name” is a bad title. I played 5 seasons of Big Ten baseball not that long ago and had no idea what this thread was about. Momentary forgetfulness but still annoying.
