well that's just, like, your opinion, man
Countdown to Kickoff - Day 19: Michael Shaw
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that I know all the moves by now. All I need is a trench coat and I'll be ready to go at 12:30
I've seen it so many times that I have started to analyze it. A few points:
Why the heck is everyone at the station a full half hour before it starts if they're all aware it's not until 12:30?
What phone takes that long to download a full FIVE word email?
How does he not notice he's the only one for like 10 seconds?
Why will it not die?
It's better than their last one, with the guy laughing in the car before everyone else. That just made AT&T users look like a-holes who would have no friends because everyone is on a different page (albeit a slower page)
1. Why the heck is everyone at the station a full half hour before it starts if they're all aware it's not until 12:30?
It's Grand Central Station. It's always full. If they're participants, they're incognito and scoping out a good corner.
2. What phone takes that long to download a full FIVE word email?
I only understand my landline.
3. How does he not notice he's the only one for like 10 seconds?
He's an artiste, and really into his art. Hence oblivious to his surroundings until he senses his audience isn't receptive.
4. Why will it not die?
Talk with your pins and your pads this year, son
Looks like Huyge is holding off Schofield for the RT spot (yes, still early)
Karsch does a nice job with these
Is there a link to the player's numbers some where on the site. I don't have all the players numbers memorized and I'd love to know who I'm watching in the practice vids. Thanks for helping out a new MGoBlogger.
I've seen debate on how tall Karsch is (I have read 6-3) If Shaw is listed at 6' (probably more like 5-10 or 5-11), after seeing the 2 side by side, Karsch has to be 6-5 or more.
Scout had a couple photo galleries from yesterday's media/fan day (free content) and Karsch looks to be almost the exact same height as Koger, who I believe is listed at 6'4".
I've played hockey against him at the Cube. I would say 6'4" is a fair estimate. I know it's not easy to move him.
photos it looks like Mike Martins arms are about 5'10 5'11
Karsch's height gets talked about almost every time there is a countdown video recently. He's obviously a tall guy, so why the heck does he stand 1-2 feet closer to the camera than the person he's interviewing? That's usually a tactic to make somebody shorter appear taller, which isn't necessary with Karsch.
I can't really imagine Michael Shaw talking a bunch of smack on the field.
Maybe it's the glasses.
It's not like the OSU guy tried to avoid it, but this is a decent look into his talking on the field.
I'm on my phone, so I don't know if it will become a link.
You beat me to it, but you know what, in that scenario, I support it. It didn't get too out of hand and who knows if anything provoked him.
Yeah man, in that scenario, it's no big deal. But in that game he was shut down, hard. So it's kind of like if you can talk big and act big, great. But, if you get shut down, you should keep your mouth shut. Confidence never hurts, arrogance and cockiness can make you look stupid.
And love his glasses. Back to sports now.
IMO the RB job is Michael Shaw's to lose this season.
The new offensive scheme fits Shaw a lot better and I'm excited to see what he can do this fall. People forget how highly recruited he was coming out of high school. Hopefully he can keep his speed with the additional bulk he added this year.
is "hard-nosed football". Is he saying that the spread isn't TOUGH?!?!? How DARE he!!
Love the manager behind Freddy J at the 1:39 mark. He's rocking the jew fro and glasses.
I'm still waiting for the "Shaw needs to run tougher" comment which I'm totally convinced is grounded in the idea that Shaw and Carlos Brown are the same person. Shaw runs with a lot of toughness.
That Michael Shaw has great teeth.
and EPIC eye-brows.
I love Michael Shaw and hope to see him start this year but I really want someone to interview some freshman. I have not seen any interviews with any of the incoming class, is there some type of rule about them talking to the press?
