Is it just me or has Michigan had more than their share of Brandons over the last 10 years or so?
needs moar usage
are certainly on message and confident.
"Improving every day".Hell yeah..I like our chances September 1st..Thanks for posting..
Go Blue !!
nice throw by Devin Gardner at 1:13.....I had to stop and rewind to see which QB that was!
"...when the ole' season is over, you and I know, it's going to be Michigan again; Michigan!"
on my second try and after you pointed it out. Weird seeing him in the #13 jersey.
not sure if you had a typo there but he'll be rocking 12 this fall. (bla bla bla Shane Morris wears 12!) It'll be a strange transition seeing a big #12 and a skinny #21 this fall.

was that back foot throw bad form/technique? I'm no qb but just hearing all the chatter about "not throwing off his back foot" and wondering if that was an example of a mistake or if it was part of play design.
For the strength of the pack is the Wolv, and the strength of the Wolv is the pack.
Yes, that was bad form/technique.
It looked like there was a linemen in his face, there wasn't any time to set his feet.
I don't think it was bad footwork, it looked like it was by design on that play. It was a play action pass and his first read was to the TE in the flat. From that it seems the play was designed to get short yardage on a safe pass. If the defense plays the run (which you would expect on a play action pass) that route is going to be open quickly, but it becomes extremely important for the QB to get the ball to the TE quickly. Thus the back foot throw, if he took time to set his feet that gives more time for the defense to catch up to the play. If he was throwing downfield it would be important that he set his feet, but on a quick pass like this meant to get short yardage, it is more important that he get the ball out fast.
COYS and lets go Detroit FC!
The play design setting up for a quick pass doesn't mean that footwork becomes meaningless. He still could have set his feet, and he probably shouldn't have been moving backward at that point. Ideally, he would be attacking the LOS after the play action fake in case his options were covered and he needed to run the ball.
quite a few updates in regards to the scrimmage over the weekend. I guess no news is good news, but jeez, withdrawals suck!! Its probably way too early for PeeWee updates, but wonder how he's doing? Give us something! Anything!

He ends every interview with 'everyone always asks about Denard, do you think he's improving as a passer'? If you yourself are going to say it every time, might as well drop the first part.
I'm going to ask you 8 questions about the past and future TE's and nothing about yourself. I'll then finish with the same Denard question I ask everybody.
Thanks - Besta Luck

Well, Karsh did ask what this season holds for him...and Moore said "Just to try to go out there and help win games." That was a pretty generic answer.
I would have preferred something like, "I'ma be a f***in' soldier!"
He did seem like kind of a dick the way he handled this particular interview. Of course Moore seemed oblivious so who the hell cares anyway. Doug has likely given up on asking relevant questions due to the fact they won't illicit a real answer.

The questioning provides no info and is so predictable. Just questions about former players, hair and Denard.

In reply to Thorin's question regarding Brandons on the team, going back 15 years, we've had nine of them including Brandon Moore. The others are, in no particular order, Brandon Kornblue, Brandon Smith, Brandon Herron, Brandon Williams, Brandon Harrison, Brandon Graham, Brandon Logan and of course, Brandon Minor. The outlier is the one Brandin - Bradin Hawthorne, so if spelling is not an issue, then the count is ten.
Devin Funchess looks pretty good in those clips - TE seems like it will be in good hands for some years to come here.

I think at one point in either 2008 or 2009 we had 5+ brandon's
Brandon Graham
Brandon Herron
Brandin Hawthorne (2009)
Brandon Minor
Brandon Harrison
Brandon Logan
Brandon Moore
Brandon Smith
Does that count? Lol

Anyway, like I was sayin', Brandon is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, Brandon-kabobs, Brandon creole, Brandon gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple Brandon, lemon Brandon, coconut Brandon, pepper Brandon, Brandon soup, Brandon stew, Brandon salad, Brandon and potatoes, Brandon burger, Brandon sandwich. That- that's about it.
“Jug security is always at a premium.”
Nothing less enlightening than that comment from players.
They're pretty much the exact opposite of Craig Roh.
BTB, Conor's, and the Jug= The Trifecta
My take from that video---> Devin Funchess will play...
Half of the highlights were of Funchess making receptions, mixed in with Moore blocking once or twice, haha
I think that was pretty much a given.
These guys have been coached up to not let any information out, it's becoming easier and easier to tell. Fort in full effect.
COYS and lets go Detroit FC!
What a nice kid Brandon is. Watching that film, its easy to see that Denard has a strong arm...he just flicks the ball and it gets to where it needs to be.
AJ Williams well on his way to becoming the greatest blocking TE in BIG history, with the pancake of the irrepressible Mario Ojemudia.
You see him block a 215 pound freshman DE and all of a sudden he's on his way to being one of the best blocking TEs in conference HISTORY?
Wow.

Less than 2 weeks now. Hope all the guys stay safe and healthy for the rest of camp, Go Blue!
