This list is completely arbitrary and not a genuine analysis of the relative merits of state fossils.
will be michigan's highest pick in a while
money has to go somewhere
I am only motivated by people who have no opinion about me.
the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection
but I thought that draft was supposed to be incredibly loaded?
It seem strange to visit a friend in Alabama a week before NSD
Not to threadjack but....FUCK
Imma shock the world tomorrow lol!! You just dont no!!
When the ADept sells special jerseys and gear, you'll see my picture next to the targeted customer crowd. A sheep.....but a Blue one.....
I've seen recruits say this before, and then they've picked the team that everyone expected them to pick. I wouldn't read too much into it.
Twitter - Recruiting Update: May 20
Seriously? You really think that means anything?
He's referring to the alive wolverine he caught with his bare hands that will be at his announcement tomorrow.
Pennsylvania is the California of the East
A user pointed out that this statement is likely giving props to juwan Howard in the fab five documentary
I think its good news. I'm guessing he watches ESPN & saw the Fab Five Documentary. That's Juwan Howard. "Gonna shock the world" ... seemed pretty blatant to me. If I'm wrong, then that's a very ironic choice of the exact same phrase.
I always refer to Alabama as Abalama.
"I have seen the top of the mountain. And it is good."
not just "douchey" MGoBlog user, but now TRUSTED MGoBlog user
Well 247 confirmed the official visit for Poggi. Seems odd to wait so long in the process to do this a little under two weeks before NSD.

Everyone needs to search for and read the "Beaver gone to C-USA" thread from 4 years ago. We (including me) went ape shit because Shadovrick Beaver decommitted to go to Tulsa. We had to hope Rich Rod could land some kid from Florida to be the second QB in the class. Meyer hadn't even offered the guy as a QB! The world was over and we were doomed. At least we still had Tate.
The panic was just a bit unjustified and it all worked out just fine. Relax, enjoy the weekend. The program is in good hands.
"Nobody cares what you think!"
I, for one, want to have a crappy Friday evening.
It's tough to make predictions, especially about the future. -- Yogi Berra
To each his own. I do recommend beer. Not in connection with this, I just recommend beer.
Totally different. Beaver wasn't a universally-regarded top prosepect and that wasn't two weeks before signing day. That meltdown had as much to do with where he went than the fact that he left.
Poggi is currently our highest rated recruit and we won't be able to replace him with anyone. This would be a much bigger deal.
Denard wasn't even the player we wanted, much less highly rated. He ended up being our best player. Just going for some perspective. Maybe that is a mistake here.
No, Denard was pretty highly rated. It was Beaver that wasn't highly rated, which is why it was a bad comparison.
Freaking out over recruits changing their minds is not worth it.
I hope he's just taking the trip to see Bama and meet the coach. But I think he will still sign with us. But again that is his own decission to make.
expect the best

Until the #Big 10 learns to recruit like the #SEC it will be an irrelevant conference. Good news for #Ohio State
Seems odd to let your son commit to an irrelevant conference. And to say that's good for at team in that conference, who just happens to be the mortal enemy of your son's chosen school. Just say'n.
That's what happen when you try and leave your region to recruit. these schools are indirectly paying these kids to go to their schools. Gilman probably just recieved some new weights and workout gear from an alabama alum. Hell, remember alabama paid for Dee hart's high school to get new turf laid down so they can practice for the bowl game against MSU. So he is right , until the big ten starts recruiting like the SEC we are done. Also, Brady Hoke really needs to stop takingso many early committs. It's time to save some of these kids officials until after the season so when you have recruits wanting to go elsewhere, you still have some officials in your back pocket.
What you gonna do when hokemania RUNS wild over you?
Please explain your last point, because I don't get it. Why does taking early commits preclude us from getting officials late in the year?
Accepting kids commitments early on in the recruiting process opens Michigan up to the "My spot is saved for Michigan now I will go look elsewhere" theme. This has obviously killed us in recruiting.
Oh wait, Kyle Bosch, Jake Butt, Taco Charlton and LTT all commited in February...are solid 4 star recruits...and ended up signing their letter of intent and enrolled early.
I think landing four 4 stars super early and keeping them all they way until they signed just disproved his point.
Because we can not make that last impression with the kid. When they take an official during the season, they get to see game experience but its still 3 months left before they can sign their LOI. Usually, it's the last impression on these recruits that leads to a decision, hence Michigan losing all these recruiting battles late in the process.
Wow not a great thread. I had to do my own research for LINKS! and what is the site with the most information on Poggis visit.......Mgoblog...
Yes people in paywalled threads were talking about it, and 247 "confirmed" the January 18th visit, but common.
This may or may not be true, but very weak. It would be like me saying that now is the best time to buy a house because people on Mgoblog were talking about houses in Michigan a couple days ago.
I guess opinions don't count on here if it's not being pro Michigan.
OP is probably just mad because his thread didn't pan out.
His post is bad and he should feel bad.
Not so much anymore.
That I kinda get. It is a Michigan site. What I don't get. Is how pro Michigan posts are considered trolling if it is considered not pro Michigan by other Michigan fans. I love thus board though.
Shit I cannot type with 1 thumb. Sorry to grammar police
A: A really good high school football player who has done nothing at the college level, AND that's all he is right now (just like every other recruit).
Don't lose sleep over him. Don't freak out. Don't go ape shit over what his dad is saying on twitter. If he wants to be at Bama, more power to him. If he wants to be at Michigan, he's more than welcome (if the coaches still want him).
"[The University of Michigan] was, in short, the testing ground for all my prejudices, my beliefs and my ignorance, and it helped to lay out the boundaries of my life."--Arthur Miller
missing out on Green and losing Pogi in the same weekend would be disappointing. However, Deveon and Maurice both have impressive senior videos. The two most underrated players in our class in my opinion.
