Wow. We get Michigan State and Ohio State at home in February within five days of each other, so I can already tell that will be a slow, slow week around these parts. No matter, of course. If nothing else, we can be reasonably certain that ending the regular season with Rutgers will not be quite like ending the regular season with Indiana.

Actually, I think we play OSU twice in hockey around the same time. I might need to use some of that imaginary stress leave that comes with modding.

I wonder what would be the best way to break up "weeks" for an all B1G fantasy basketball league.  You'd have to score the first game of the week...but every team doesn't play every week.  Researching and projecting Northwestern's bench players IS my kind of fun...

This looks like a very good schedule finally. As someone noted, no rivalry games over break, no real road gauntlet like the last couple of years. This schedule has a nice mix of home/away and easy/tough. I like.

Minnesota once at home

Wisconsin once at home

Iowa once at home

Nebraska once at home

Do I dare call this a favorable schedule?  And will M's 2016 schedule be ridiculously difficult?

I did a side-by-side comparison. All the conflicting dates with Hockey and Basketball

Date Basketball Hockey
11/15 vs Hillsdale vs AIC
11/29 vs Nicholls State vs RPI
12/13 at Arizona at Boston College
1/10 vs Minnesota vs Minnesota
1/24 vs Wisconsin at Wisconsin
2/22 vs Ohio vs Ohio
2/28 at Maryland vs Wisconsin
3/13 B1G Tournament Quarters^ vs State
3/14 B1G Tournament Semis^ vs State

^ if applies

Interesting to see Michigan doing double features in A2.

I pray that I won't have to miss either game on 12/13. Those are HUGE games for both teams.

For those interested, the full women's hoops schedule was also released today. The nonconference schedule (which includes a Thanksgiving weekend appearance in the San Juan Shootout) looks pretty manageable, with only one almost certain loss (road game vs. Notre Dame).

Unlike the last couple of years, the Wolverines will have a difficult stretch early in Big Ten play, with four games in ten days in early January against PSU, MSU, Rutgers, and OSU. Then they have another tough stretch in late January and early February with consecutive matchups against Maryland, Nebraska, MSU, Rutgers, and OSU.

Apparently Stadium Journey ranked the Crisler Center the 7'th best basketball arena in America.

Others of note: Rupp Arena (Kentucky) #1

Phog Allen Fieldhouse(Kansas) #6

Breslin Center(sparty) #17

Assembly Hall(Indiana) #34

Here is their write up of Crisler

I wasn't sure if it was already posted or I would have started another thread, but it's nice that other people have noticed how far the facilities have come.
