College Basketball Games Open Thread
Kentucky vs. Duke starting shortly
Then CFP rankings announced at 9:30.
Then Kansas vs. MSU afterward.
A bunch of teams I dislike, all playing in the same night! On ESPN.

What I don't get is that Tom Izzo is still reluctant to get out there and play some help defense - that's usually what he would be doing from the box, that insanely large box that he seems to believe exists, in these situations.

Isn't this his 10th year there? I think his youngest son has already committed to Kansas

thought they'd be meh this year, but izzo's got them in midseason form already.

Eh, they'll be a solid team like always, but there's not a lot there outside of Valentine. They'll lose just about every bad game he has.
Also, Matt McQuaid has instantly become the most punchable face in college basketball.

It's funny, I always said I hated the way Izzo acted on the sidelines. Arms all over the place, stomping on the ground, yelling like crazy.
Then we hired the Izzo of Football, Harbaugh is on the sidelines with the same exact passion. It's something great coaches do. Here is to hoping we end up in just as many final 4's with some more wins!
I don't like the midget one bit, but you have to respect what he has done.

He's annoying, but I have a ton of respect for him. I know several people who've gotten to know him a little and everything you hear about him is true, he's a totally genuine person who takes an extra minute to get to know everyone he meets a little better.
As a coach, I can't stand his antics, but I respect his team's toughness. I prefer the style of play that Beilein coaches, but I can appreciate Izzo as well. One player I cannot stand is Valentine, I want to slap that smug look off his face everytime I see it.
I think we are right there with them this year, both teams are really deep. Izzo's class for next year is pretty crazy, I am still in shock they got Bridges, that kid is a freak. What's worse is they lead for Josh Jackson, that would be bad for us, very bad, Jackson would be a top 3 pick in this Springs draft if he was allowed to enter it.

MSU looks like they might be pretty good in basketball for awhile

Yeah their 2016 class is gonna give UM headaches for sure sigh...
Hopefully Jordan and Nike helps our basketball recruiting a bit. Good thing we got solid depth for the next 3 years unless Beilein miraculously sends 5 more kids to the NBA within that time frame.
