That Coach Talks Penn St, the White Out Game, and Michigan, 2 Videos
On Penn St and the White Out:
? I'm not sure how they've been tested yet...
? This will be a good test because the Wolverine defense is obviously very strong...
? Hamler... he took one about 80 yards against us a year ago...
? ...the best thing about the White Out is I don't have to be there this week...
? Facing this defense (Michigan's), this is going to tell you a lot about their (Penn Sts) offense...
? Yeah, their offense (Michigan's), it's about time... it's time for production...
? ...which I, by the way, think is the toughest environment (the White Out Game) in the country...
? There's no gettin' used to that one (the White Out Game)...
? ...That's awful. That's a tough place to go play a game...
? There's two things in that kind of game... a blocked punt, and a sack, are the loudest I've ever heard a stadium...
On Michigan:
? (on the negative talk about Jim Harbaugh) You lose to Penn St, and you lose to Ohio St again, and you can't ignore it then...
? Right now they've only lost one game... they control their own destiny... you go win at Penn St that solves everything...

Later on in the video, starting at 6:23, he talks about what life has become like for college football coaches with the recruiting cycle being 365 days a year now.

That coach can eat a bag of Wang's.
October 18th, 2019 at 10:25 PM ^
But is the take-out at Wang's good or bad?
I need to know how you feel about this Urban Meyer fellow.
October 18th, 2019 at 10:27 PM ^
Wow, Urban goes to Wang's too?
October 18th, 2019 at 10:31 PM ^
I highly recommend he goes to Wang's and sticks an egg roll down his throat.

I respectfully neg'd you Zeek.
freaking sick of seeing this guy and didn't even watch it on the eve of PSU

It’s easy for him to say the things he says now.

No shit? Lol?
October 18th, 2019 at 10:15 PM ^
Kind of doesn’t matter this year .... I’m watching OSU right now and unless they start suffering injuries at a rapid rate, I don’t see a way to beat them.
October 18th, 2019 at 10:30 PM ^
Don't worry. They're in the middle of a coaching change this year and teams under coaching changes are always horribly, horribly bad.

Ohio Sts defense is putting NW in a corner. Hate to say it, but Greg Mattison has completely turned that defense around.
October 18th, 2019 at 10:52 PM ^
The defense looks real good and aggressive. Unless Fields gets hurt, I don’t see them getting beat.
October 19th, 2019 at 12:10 AM ^
Of course he has. You didn't think he was better than the stiff they had last year as a DC? He has an easier job as OSU DC than he had at Michigan, considering how the respective offenses fare...
Edit: Was supposed to be a reply to Ezekial...

One game at a time.

Will be interesting to hear his analysis of tomorrow night next week.
October 18th, 2019 at 10:39 PM ^
Tomorrow will be rough I suspect. I just pray the offense finally shows up and can be ok instead of terrible.
October 18th, 2019 at 10:54 PM ^
I am sick of hearing from this guy. He shouldn't be on TV.
October 18th, 2019 at 11:01 PM ^
Negged you for watching the Herd and posting about it.
October 18th, 2019 at 11:20 PM ^
Coach sounds just like Mr. Ezekiel. How could that be explained.
October 18th, 2019 at 11:23 PM ^
I hope urban goes back into coaching just so i don’t have to hear his take on my team every time i turn on the tv.

I fucking straight up hated Urban as a coach.. I mean, he isn't wrong though. I'm not ready to say Harbaugh "better win, or else". But it seems the program is at a bit of a fulcrum of perception right now between the excellent-not-elite programs (LSU, Texas, PSU, Auburn, Michigan, Wisconsin, Oregon, etc.) to the good/respectable programs (i.e. Iowa, Washington, MSU, Ok State, Washington St. etc.).
That all together doesn't matter at all outside of the aspect of recruiting where it is huge - therefore, it really is kind of an important perception. This season can really move that perception in either direction based on the outcome, but the program is out of passes.
So when Urban says, it in the big match-ups at this pint or you have to validate the criticism I think he is right. I have to say (begrudgingly) his analysis of football is usually spot-on and interesting.
I am the Vince Mantooth to Urbz Ron Burgandy

He’s annoying as fuck but let’s be real, he knows NCAAF better than anyone else on TV, with maybe 1 or 2 possible exceptions
October 19th, 2019 at 8:42 AM ^
I assume one of those has to be Keith Jackson, although he doesn’t appear as often anymore.
October 19th, 2019 at 12:45 AM ^
Remember when he provided cover to a wife abuser? Knowingly sheltering a woman beater? Like... A year ago?
October 19th, 2019 at 1:07 PM ^
If only Urban had fired Z Smith earlier, then C Smith would have been safe and untouched.
October 19th, 2019 at 6:13 AM ^
Check, check aaaand check!
October 19th, 2019 at 7:02 AM ^
I crave so badly to shut our critics up. They will always talk... We just need to win. Winning cures all.
October 19th, 2019 at 5:22 PM ^
Then Lovie Smith is feeling pretty good right now.
