Is Coach Howard recruiting a player in the Transfer Portal, interviewing them, or both?
I imagine when a head coach recruits and incoming freshman he has to sell him on the University, the style of play, how the incoming player’s game will improve and/or be utilized with the team, etc.
When a coach is talking to someone from the transfer portal is it more of an interview with the coach asking the incoming transfer if he is willing to sacrifice scoring to concentrate on defense, be a mentor to younger teammates, willing to come off the bench in a nonstarter role?
I see the Coach having more of an interview with the transfer where he can draw on the past experience of the player and attempting to see how that player will fit with the present team.
If I die, tell my wife....hello.

it's more like Tron, he must enter the Transfer Portal mainframe and defeat all other suitors in a competition of skill and agility
he actually plays them in a game of HORSE.
And he wins every time with that half court, back to the basket, swish!

Granted, I rarely arrive here sober....
Yeah, it's a bunch of 35-45 year old dudes with outdated senses of humor.
Well, you have enough points to start an OP. What I've seen in the past, from posters with your same opinion, is a complete meltdown "good bye you fools" OP and then that MGoFormerUser is never to be seen again.
Did you try this approach?
I mean, what?
I imagine he asks all the pertinent questions, not the least of which might be their favorite color and why. They best say maize is #1 and then blue is #2.
Hello darkness my old friend
