Georgia Tech throws an interception on the very first play

Sitting down for a dinner of homemade enchiladas and a nice pour of Redbreast 12 year Cask strength.😋
Will catch up after eating 👍.
Go GT🏈🏈🏈

Very nice. Go Jackets!

Launching yourself off the shitter in 3,2,1.
September 5th, 2022 at 8:11 PM ^
I can only assume that, even though Clemson deferred on the kick, Georgia Tech did not want to appear rude, for it is really a home game in essence for them despite the change in venue, and decided to let Clemson have it first all the same.
September 5th, 2022 at 10:34 PM ^
Like a quick kick
September 5th, 2022 at 8:15 PM ^
Clemson's defense is tough, no doubt. It'll be interesting to see if their o-line play has improved. They struggled against some pretty mediocre teams last year.
September 5th, 2022 at 8:18 PM ^
And before I forget, fuck Dabo Swinney!
September 6th, 2022 at 12:27 AM ^
Mr. "Aw shucks, lil ole me" is the biggest phony out there. What an a-hole
September 5th, 2022 at 8:19 PM ^
The fact that I want GT to win tells me that that WAS a fumble
September 5th, 2022 at 8:20 PM ^
Go Clemson Tigers! My second favorite team, I live in SC and my daughter is a biology senior there. Will see if they've got the offense straightened out but I expect that defense to be pretty stout this year.
September 5th, 2022 at 8:22 PM ^
Good for your daughter. Looking at med school, teaching, pharm? Astronaut?
September 5th, 2022 at 8:22 PM ^
CU has a fantastic D - maybe a guy or two better than UM.
I just don’t believe their O is top tier. OL issues the last few years, versatile but limited RB, very solid WRs, and DJ at QB. Cabe at QB might make them nearly elite. Does that sound familiar?
September 5th, 2022 at 8:29 PM ^
Hey Georgia Tech
September 5th, 2022 at 8:30 PM ^
Yellowjacket’s got to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee on this defensive series
September 5th, 2022 at 8:31 PM ^
Raise your hand if you question why Clemson is ranked #4.
September 5th, 2022 at 8:37 PM ^
Me. That was a little too generous on behalf of the polsters. As was Notre Dame being #5.
Although, I still still suspect ND’s ranking was more about adding that extra hype to their game with OSU. If they opened the season against Purdue, they wouldn’t have been #5.
Clemson being #4 is more about the polsters wanting to sexually service Dabo, since he’s considered just a notch under Nick Saban.
September 6th, 2022 at 12:52 AM ^
It's even worse than we think. One of the announcers said unironically that Clemson consistently plays one of the toughest schedules in America.
There's no hope with the media other than just winning a boatload of games, they understand one stat and one stat only.
September 5th, 2022 at 8:34 PM ^
I'm impressed with the GT defense so far
September 5th, 2022 at 8:41 PM ^
I'm not sure if I should be impressed with the GT defense or unimpressed with the Clemson offense. I'm leaning toward the latter.
September 5th, 2022 at 8:35 PM ^
I'm not seeing the number 4 team in the nation. Clemson doesn't look good on offense.
September 5th, 2022 at 8:42 PM ^
Yeah, not seeing it at all.
Bama and UGA are NFL farm teams, then there’s a gap.
That’s where Michigan, OSU, Oklahoma and maybe even USC fall in.
After that it’s mediocrity.
September 5th, 2022 at 8:41 PM ^
DJ Ungaoiyeieouylaly would make for a sick DT.
September 5th, 2022 at 8:42 PM ^
The one thing I would say is Clemson was having a good drive and then had that fumble. They haven’t been great for sure but the turnover took away points for them. Still GT is putting up more of a fight then you’d think they should.
September 5th, 2022 at 8:43 PM ^
Either GT is thru with their transition from the triple option and theyre decent…or more likely Clemsons offense is still kinda doodoo and theyre pretty overrated again
September 5th, 2022 at 8:44 PM ^
Clemsons O-line is bad
September 5th, 2022 at 8:47 PM ^
GT should just punt on 1st down.
Nevermind, can't even do that right
September 5th, 2022 at 8:47 PM ^
All right this is just stupid just punt the ball GT
September 5th, 2022 at 8:48 PM ^
Clemson with a blocked punt
That's a game changer
September 5th, 2022 at 8:48 PM ^
Damnit
September 5th, 2022 at 8:48 PM ^
GTs punter with the slowest wind up ever
September 5th, 2022 at 8:48 PM ^
Clemson stole Iowas game plan for this one.
Edit: I was incorrect, touchdowns are definitely not a factor in Iowas game planning.
September 5th, 2022 at 8:51 PM ^
Clemson over ranked
September 5th, 2022 at 8:53 PM ^
Clemson reminds me of John O'Korn-led Michigan
Defense keeps them in every game despite a QB who can't make basic throws
September 5th, 2022 at 8:55 PM ^
My dad would have called this game a rock fight. Ugly. GT is awful and Clemson still doesn’t look good on offense.
September 5th, 2022 at 8:59 PM ^
Techs QB looks pretty good
September 5th, 2022 at 9:01 PM ^
Freaking oline can’t stay disciplined
September 5th, 2022 at 9:01 PM ^
Not impressed with Clemson so far.
September 5th, 2022 at 9:03 PM ^
Penalties are killing GA Tech
September 5th, 2022 at 9:05 PM ^
Preseason rankings are a joke.
I say it every year, they shouldn't come out until after week 3.
But since they're going to be updated tomorrow...I've seen all I need from Clemson. Just like that FSU/LSU game, those were two average teams in a really good game. It's EARLY, but Clemson looks like they have an great D and an average offense. ND looks the same. Anyway...
- Alabama
- Georgia (then *gap*)
- Ohio St.
- Michigan (then *gap*)
- Texas A&M
- Oklahoma
- Baylor
- USC
- Miami
- Florida
- Utah (then *gap)
- Pitt
- Texas
- Tennessee
- Clemson (assuming they win tonight)
- Penn St.
- Notre Dame
- Wisconsin
- Michigan St.
- Oklahoma St.
- Ole Miss
- Oregon
- Florida St.
- Kentucky
- Minnesota / NC St. (tie)
September 5th, 2022 at 9:09 PM ^
Michigan 3, then a&m, then Miami then osu.
September 5th, 2022 at 9:40 PM ^
I get we hate OSU...but there is no way you can put them below Texas A&M.
If you knock OSU for struggling (which is 100% fair), no argument for Michigan #3. I give them some credit because they beat a top 20 team, but they didn't look great.
However, if Michigan beat Colorado St. the way Texas A&M beat a FCS school...Cade would be the #3 QB going into the next game.
Texas A&M slept walked through that game.
Miami played Bethune-Cookman, but took care of business.
Personally, I think Miami, Florida, Texas, and USC are "back" (not elite...but 10-2 level NY6 contenders)...I think LSU and FSU was a game of two frauds.
As I've mentioned, Clemson and ND seem like 9-3 teams like PSU and Wisconsin (or vintage Iowa, not this Iowa). In that kind of mold.
Random thought...let's say there is a hap after Michigan and OSU.
Is there ANY realistic scenario in which it's Bama, UGA, Michigan, OSU in the CFP? College Football would implode if that were to ever happen.
September 5th, 2022 at 9:15 PM ^
Methinks you are letting some biases decide to send Clemson and ND to 15 and 17.
September 5th, 2022 at 9:30 PM ^
I'm assuming you think that's too high...
Clemson is not a top 10 team, but they're not "ass" either. That defense looks good.
Teams in that range are typically solid on one side of the ball and have a glaring hole.
ND went into the Shoe at night and held their own for 3 quarters. That D is legit. But that offense looks to be, very "meh."
All of those teams in that range look like 9-3 type teams.
September 5th, 2022 at 9:08 PM ^
Clemson’s DL is impressive but their team as whole is what I thought: overrated
September 5th, 2022 at 9:09 PM ^
This game is uglier than an episode of The Bachelorette
September 5th, 2022 at 9:16 PM ^
Probably needs to be stated: GT went 3-9 last year in the ACC.
As a comparison: Rutgers went 5-8 in the B1G.
September 5th, 2022 at 9:42 PM ^
Rutgers was much improved last year. Hell, they took us to the brink at home in what was our ugliest win of the year.
September 5th, 2022 at 10:31 PM ^
Let me know when RU gets a prime time slot in the kickoff classic vs #4 team. Yeah, RU made things difficult in an ordinary Saturday game for UM … long putt from a prime time game. UM likely brings a lot more juice of the game is this focus game.
