Already hold the NFL record for most defensive touchdowns at 13.

And I also predict that he'll break the Def TD tie this season.
That pick he had on Sunday was pretty silly. The guy's almost 38.

It is absolutely amazing what he is still doing at his age. Ill have to see if i can dig up a video of his pic. I did not get a chance to see it.

Although the replay does it more justice, which I can't find on YT.

Oh wow. That was great. How he continues to perform at that level i will never know.

Charles will be playing---he's already had a far, far longer career than most NFL players.
As the TV broadcast crew stated on the video, Woodson tied the all-time NFL record for most consecutive seasons with an interception at 17. No doubt he's one of the best of all time!

The last camera angle was the best where it shows just how far he had to go. Also like Geno Smith looking dumbfounded that that just happened.

Woodson has been screwing up QB's faces like that his whole life. Sometimes even when not playing (see Manning, Peyton at the '97 Heisman Trophy Awards).
September 9th, 2014 at 6:07 PM ^
Even Geno appreciates for how sick it was.
September 9th, 2014 at 3:39 PM ^
The look on Geno Smith's is pretty amusing - "Really? Really?". I chuckled.
As others have said though, he's an amazing ahtlete and it is great to see him still doing Woodson things at, well, my age basically.

I'm not sure why, but seeing Dre Bly's name on here makes me feel uncomfortable.

love is that champ baileys name is last on that list...

First ballot hall of famer?
September 9th, 2014 at 3:18 PM ^
Without a doubt.
September 9th, 2014 at 4:18 PM ^
Him and Brady for sure. Steve Hutchinson will probably get in as well.
September 9th, 2014 at 3:06 PM ^
There can be only one Woodson!
September 9th, 2014 at 8:18 PM ^
two!
(someone please refresh my memory---are the Charles and Rod related to each other?)
September 10th, 2014 at 7:50 AM ^
No relation to each other.

Wonder where Dave Brown and Tom Darden rank? Was there no forced fumble stat when they played?

Famous for the punch strip.

Pretty good track record for guys named Woodson. I hope a (or The) mathlete gets to work on that to help me know whether we should be recruiting ALL THE WOODSON.

Charles Woodson is the most productive/Impactful defensive player I have ever seen. I did watch every game he played for the Packers and his 2010 season was his best (although all were good/great). I had never saw a defensive player make so many plays on defense game- in and game-out.
Most of it didn't show up in the stat sheet either. He would bait QB's into throwing at him, he would hold up ball carriers for teamates to strip the ball, he would strip the ball when others were holding up the ball carrier, he would "get skinny" and fly into the backfield on short yardage plays wrecking havo on the play or gettin a piece of the ball carrier, he also had a knack for the sack fumble when sent on blitz packages, and oh-yeah, the typical lock-down coverage and tackling that is very rare in today's NFL.
....and i basically didn't get to watch him during his prime in Oakland. Glad I got to see him win a ring in GB though.....been watchin him since his Fredmont Ross days in the GLL league.

Actually, Woodson didn't have the greatest reputation following his first Oakland stint. Some people whose opinions I would normally respect raked the Packers over the coals for signing him, based on his production and his perceived work ethic.
I believe Woodson has been quoted as saying that he wished he took things more seriously early in his NFL career. He sure has recovered nicely.

I didn't realize Ty Law is amognst the very best to ever play the game.
It's always nice to see a Michigan man do so well.

Sorry to be a killjoy; I love Charles as much as anyone here, but nfl.com indicates that he has 57 interceptions and 27 forced fumbles.

Still, assuming he plays at least this season, it would not be out of the question to pass Rod Woodson. If he plays this season and next, and at the same level he's playing now, he'll easily surpass Rod.
Clearly one of the greatest players of all time, in all of football.

Does anyone have a link to the Heisman ceremony for Charles? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
