Channing Stribling Question
I was under the impression that Channing Stribbling was going to receive a considerable ratings bump? But if you go to this page on Rivals, he's still listed as a 2 star. There's an actual tweet by Mike Farrell indicating that he would receive a bump up from 2 stars.
Stribling will be higher than a two @culleradam: @rivalsmike Also there has to be no way Channing Stribling stays a 2 star, right?
Have they not completed ranking changes outside of the Top 250?

It's an absolute insane world when people ask ranking questions on a blog that is primarily devoted to Michigan football.

That is absolutely awesome.

is why actual voting needs to come back!

Please tell me what cartoon this was from! I've tried to explain it in the past and people have thought I was crazy.......which might be true but at least they can't commit me for this!

You are my hero. I've been trying to figure out the name of this show for years! It's weird the things that I thought were cool when I was 8. and 18.

My first car was a Burgandy 1968 Pontiac Catalina 4 Door with a 400 engine. I put air shocks, mag wheels, about 200 yards of white pinstriping on it and then flipped the air cleaner upside down to make it sound louder. Baaaaaadaaaaaas ride.
That car must've weighed close to 5,000 pounds.

My first car was/is a '99 Malibu with a tendency to overheat in the desert and while climbing steep grades, which is unfortunate, because I live in Utah.
BONUS! Herm's first car:

Mine was a hand-me-down white chevrolet caprice estate station wagon with fake wood paneling.
The only positive was that I could fit 8 people in it for late-night rides into Philly for a Pat's run.

2.5L 4Cyl and a 5 Speed.
126 HP (in 1991) at the redline of 5250RPM. 0-60 in 14 seconds (with a tail wind). My dad loved that it was so slow. Slowest 1st car on the board?

I don't exactly recall all the specs of it, but I had a 78 volkswagon rabbit as my first car (in 1990 so it was a bit of an antique...lol). It was red and we called it the red baron and sliced a little line in the tint on the back windows when we would pass anyone to keep track off the poor suckers we shot down.
It was a great car for a 16 year old and my Dad only bought it for me so I wouldn't reck his vehicles so it was a win win for both of us. It was a 4 speed and once it got going it would go, but it was nothing special in that department. I still miss that old beast!

I got a '91 in 2003, so it was 12 years old too. It'd go 60, 65, and even 70 if the wind was right. Beyond that it got dicey though. The top and doors would billow and cross winds on the highway were harrowing.

Mine was a '56 Beetle with a '64 engine that barely climbed the local eastern Ohio hills - sometimes felt like retrograde motion. Cost me $75 and worth every penny until I rolled it trying to do 360s around a sharp curve.

My first car was a "lightly used" 1991 Lumina coups - sky blue with grey cloth seats and black trim - which had the 3.1 L V6 and a 5-speed manual transmission on which only 4 of the speeds would not cause a stall. It was also obviously manufactured during the year-long experiment with no primer in the paint shop at the plant where it was made, so I only know it was sky blue from the paint that was left when I happened upon it.

Still rockin the 1995 Volvo 940. The thing has 249,000 miles on it, so 2013 should be a big year!

Any comment that mentions Herm usually makes me smile but this one takes the cake. Tremendous!

You had a coupe that was slow as hell but looked like it was a little sporty and had some giddiyap.
My first car was an '89 LeSabre with the GM 3.7L V6 in it. With a blue vinyl top. Plush cloth interior. Not only did it LOOK like it was owned by my Grandmother. It actually was. But for being a Geriatric mobile, that thing could flat out move. I always wanted to get hold of a turbo and turn it into an after-market T-Type. Most of the engine was the same as in a Regal Grand National.

was a 1964 brown and white Ramber Stationwagon. It was a real "Shaggin wagon" - unfortunately I had acne, bad teeth and about two dollars in my pocket. Needless to say it was too much car for me.

Also had a question about Stribling. Obviously he's not a candidate to decommit or anything but is his committment so strong that no others schools have even bothered to offer? I just figured that since he blew up this summer/senior season, he would get some offers from atleast local schools (UNC, UT, UVA etc.). Just wondering what the deal is
December 5th, 2012 at 2:04 PM ^
I think it has to do with the fact that he is so solid with Michigan. The schools you mentioned aren't usually mentioned when you talk about schools that try to switch committed players. But, I am surprised that he hasn't gotten more offers.

That only the post that actually have something to do with the OP are being marked as offtopic...lol. Isn't it ironic. Here's a plus 1 from me anyway.

But some people would actually like to discuss Michigan recruits. Fuck it, I'm getting too old for this shit.
