Minnesota:

"This is a very fun team. It's a very fun culture, very different, but I love these young men. I love them as my own sons," Fleck said. "A lot of times it's easy for coaches to pick up and leave, go different places. These are very, very special people. I believe in what we can do here."

WMU his final year after an 8-0 start:

"Love Kalmazoo...my sons...lot of years here...blah, blah, blah"

PJ Fleck loves every place he is at...most importantly PJ Fleck loves PJ Fleck.  That buyout/contract won't stop him from going to USC, FSU, or any other situation he deems bigger and better for PJ Fleck.

I suspect Fleck fancies himself an NFL coach and that is his ultimate destination.  You can't argue with his results so far.  He has taken two programs to a season they might not have had otherwise.

Arkansas is in a pretty tough spot, I feel like they would benefit from moving from the SEC to the Big XII if they were interested in trading some money for a few more wins. They would instantly go to 3rd overall in terms of program potential behind OU and Texas. Even the year they were really good under Petrino they finished 3rd in the SEC West.

They aren't really Rutgers though, are they? I do believe there's a disconnect between what they think is possible and what really is possible in the context of the SEC West, but they're clearly a football school with history and some notable successes in the past. They were an elite team in the 60s but even through the Nutt and Petrino years they were generally a solid and sometimes pretty good team.

Their problem really is that the SEC West is a permanent arms race in which they will always be one step behind the top teams. In any other conference a school that committed to football and investing money in coaches and players would be a force to be reckoned with I'd say.

Pretty ironic how Chad Morris chased away last years QB, Ty Storey, who ended up transferring to WKU and provided the death blow to Morris’ Arkansas tenure

Lane Kiffin?  He has to be on the list of folk that Arkansas will call, right?

Mike Norvell is definitely on the list.  No doubt there.  Though I think he could do better than Arkansas in the long run.

Hugh Freeze's "rehab tour" probably needs another 1-2 years in Lynchburg, VA.  I doubt he gets a call this fall .... but he will from someone either next fall or the one after.

I'm surprised he wasn't fired immediately after the game. I know, I know - who are they going to get - there's nobody better - but with all that Jerry Jones money and his grandson at QB, I can't believe the wallet won't open up.
