Well done sir!

Harbaugh gets along fine with people. The 49ers management are the ones who can't get along with anyone.

By missing the playoffs, it means we'll get an answer before January.

Could our actual future coach be taking his team to a bowl and not need the bat shit circus that follows a coaching change? Harbaugh knows this and is doing Michigan a solid, it doesn't cost him anything. The press that covers him doesn't think he is going to Michigan. The current fans don't get in his ass because they can never believe a coach would take a minor leage job, never mind the same money and less(?) work. The rumor doesn't effect his current job because he is going to be fired either way. It does cover Michigan to do a proper search to find the best person never mind where he is from or who's coaching tree. I would put my money on him to Michigan but could just as easily be he wants to coach in the NFL. Helps us either way.

I'm going to turn this thread into a posbang.

The 49ers have one of the worst offenses in the league. Why do we want Harbaugh so bad?
They showed a stat during the game and since week 7 the 49ers are dead last in every major category. Does this not concern anyone? Kapernick literally looks like Devin Gardner out there and this was Harbaughs hand picked guy.
Watching UM on saturdays this year and 49ers on sunday was like watching the same team.
I suppose, Harbaugh could recruit at sugh a high level that he could win playing man-ball but with the way CFB is going now I'm not sure that will be a winning formula.

Harbaugh developed Josh Johnson at San Diego, Andrew Luck at Stanford, and Alex Smith in SF. Kaepernick had been very good until this season. It's safe to say Jim's track record with QBs is pretty damn good.

Man that doesn't sound like arguments we've made for Rich Rod and Al Borges at all.
December 14th, 2014 at 8:03 PM ^
When did he take a team to three straight NFC championship games?

None of which correspond to things said in the post responded to.

Your rather feeble attempt at comparing Borges to Harbaugh is not worth much regard. It's fine to challenge JH's record, but at least make analogies that actually are relevant.
December 14th, 2014 at 7:58 PM ^
because he turned around San Diego and took Stanford from 1 win to 12 wins. He took the 49ers to the Super Bowl. He's one of the best coaches in America. Him losing this season is just fortunate for us.

Where have you been?
All the talk going on about discord in the locker rooms and with management is all anybody has been talking about for months.
He's a great Coach!
Michigan needs Harbaugh!!!!
The Stars are aligning, time to come home Jim.

You are critiicizing Harbaugh for the lack of productive for an archetyical spread option QB. Kap ran the Pistol at Nevada. His skill set is very similiar to Mariota's.
The issue is not with Manball, but a QB who isn't good enough of a passer to be consistently excellent in the NFL. It also doesn't help that the team is disfunctional.

to the Super Bowl. Harbaugh apaprently believed he had another Tom Brady-type situation. Instead he got Eric Hipple.
December 14th, 2014 at 8:27 PM ^
Are you seriously saying the 49ers should have chosen Smith over Kaepernick?? Wow. Smith, the guy who in the 2 minute offense is throwing 5 yard outs. The guy who has thrown 0 TD passes to his receivers this year. That has to be one of the dumbest comments I have even read on here.

If he was told not to run him, it doesn't show in the stats. Last year he ran the ball 92 times in 16 games. This year he has run the ball 90 times in 14 games.
I would venture to guess that the locker room issues they talk about has caused them to lose a couple close games that would otherwise have them in contention right now.

Mr. York? Harbaugh led the 49ers, a team lacking in success since Steve Young was their QB to 3 straight NFC championship games, and turned Stanford, a blueblood in .... rowing? into a football powerhouse in the pac12, that's why Michigan wants him.
